Question about Poulan Pro " Pro" Self Propelled Mower
I have a Craftman rotary lawn mower 675 series ,which is very hard to push .Changed the belt and that didn't fix the problem. Someone said I needed a new transmission
Remove the drive wheels and have a look at the gear teeth in them. If even slightly worn, they need replacing. If you run the mower with the wheels off, that end elevated with a block, see if the axle turns when you engage the drive. If it does, your transmission is fine. Wheels are a lot easier to change than a tranny.
