Philips 28DW9625 - has an intermittent fault where it will turn itself off - like it is going into standby - but the red light flashes and I have to switch off, wait a few minutes, then switch on again. Comes back with orange light & I have to press a button on remote to restart. Can go for days with no problem but can also go off 3 times in 30 mins.

Why won't the tv come on, just get intermittent flashing red standby light?

Most likely it's a capacitor fault.

Google "Capacitor bulge" and then search Youtube for your make and model to see if anyone has done an instructional video. You'll need to be comfortable dismantling the unit and be able to use a soldering iron. If this isn't you then take it to a repair shop.

Philips 29pt828c/25 crt tv won't turn on, the red standby light is constantly flashing. Have unplugged and left for days and then switched on it powers up, get picture and sound and then say 4mins later it...

The flashing light indicates a fault. These flashes are called blinking codes. Count the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON. Counting of blinks to Philips is not done directly. It is a sort of coded. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. Counting procedure to Philips TVs is given in detail. Please keep some time with the instructions. It will be somewhat seem difficult to anybody who doesn't know anything electronics. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Bluetooth wont charge or power on. when charging the red light comes on. once disconnected from charger it wont come on

Indicator Lights:
1.Headset Status Headset Indicator Light
2.Powering on Steady blue, then intermittent flashes
(changes to standby mode)
3.Powering off Red appears and goes off
4.Standby Blue intermittent flashes
5.Charging battery Red solid light. Light indicator turns off when
battery is fully charged and headset is off.
6.Low battery Triple red flashes
7.Pairing mode Blue/red alternating flashes
8.Missed call Purple flashes. Press the call control button
to cancel flashing light.
9.Incoming call Triple blue flashes when ringing.
Power on and off:
1.Turn on the headset Press and hold the call control button until the
indicator glows blue. You will hear ascending
tones.
2.Turn off the headset Press and hold the call control button until the
indicator glows red. You will hear descending
tones. When power is off, indicator stays off.
If none of this is helpful then it may be that your battery is dead, if that is the case then you will need to replace the whole headset. The battery's are not replaceable.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Turned tv on 2night had picture and sound for approx 3 minutes then tv turned itself off had 2 flashing red lights turned tv back on no picture or sound then turned itself off again

B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.

The red standby light flashes and when the power button is pushed the green light comes on with a clicking soung then it turns back off and the red standby light starts flashing again

One of the boards (module) has a short on it, and or the power supply itself is failing.
The service center will find the fault using the process if elimination. They will replace the bad boards or modules as required to get the set working again.

My Sony Bravia KDL-26S3000 won't turn on and is stuck in standby.

Hi,

There is a power fault with one of the PCB's inside, contact Sony if you are still in warranty, if not contact a Sony service center as it will need an engineer to open it up to repair it.

Thanks

Flashing green ligt----------intermittent

Many problems with philips can be solved by doing a software update which is done with a flash drive in the USB port. The only problem is your model number dosen't show up on philips web site. You may want to try to email them from their site to ask why your's dosent exist.

No picture and no sound

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
