Question about Samsung SGH-d807 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Broken LCD I broke the LCD on my phone and would like to change it out. I saw the fix on changing the ribbon, which looks doable for me. Is it much more invovled than that? I see a few new ones on ebay for about $75. Thanks!

My nokia 6300 whent through the washing machine it starts and all but screen is divided in to one side static the other a pixelated mess wat do i do

try and see if the phone is still able to make calls ..and receive them ..and if it have to order a display on the net and change it ..cause the old one was corrupted beyond recovery ...Also see if the price of the screen will worth in compare with the amount you payed for the phone ...cause there are cases when it is not a great deal to repair it ..The change itself is not that complicated cause the lcd screen is just mounted with a ribbon and a simple plug ..and if you pay attention when you open it ...(even use a camera and record all you do ..if you think you will not manage to put it back ) and its doable ...

Change the screen from the dealer. If your warranty period is not over change the scren with no cost. So infor the dealer.Changing the screen is the only solution.

My LCD not showing anything just blank and light

if the lcd and ribbon are seperate, then pls check the connections, if ok then its goof. However, if it does nolve the probelem, it is better to try new lcd and know which one is deffective.

Replaced the screen but there is no image coming up, just a lit up black screen.

if you could see any image from the broken lcd before changing it so your new lcd is not working or no installed right
and if not you may try the cable or the hard shock that broke your lcd effected the main board

Nokia 7373, Powers up but the LCD displays 2 vertical lines.

Your display circuit is broken, even if the LCD-panel,
seems to be ok the display is damaged.

Your broken display might shortcut your phone,
making it unaccessible with the broken display in place.

This is a very common problem in Nokia phones.
The only way to fix this is to change the display.
You need a T-6 Torx Skrewdriver to do the job.

Screen will not display

I have had the ribbon cable go defective in flip phones. In some phones that I had backlight went defective. These were not all Motorola.

The fix in my phones was to change the screen and ribbon cable. If the phone was out of warranty, I retired it and bought a new one. The cost of repair was too high in relation to the repair.

Motrolla Razr V3 LCD no Light

changing the LCD will not help that.....that problem is coming from your board so you need to have the mainboard replaced.
