Question about Sony Televison & Video
First lets try getting the dvd recorder back to its factory default settings, see if you can find a reset or factory defaults option from the menu's.
If you don't find any, check the back of the dvd player for a reset button or a hole.
If you don't have a reset button either, try unplugging both your tv and your dvd player for the night, hopefully this will reset both to default settings.
if the problem remains check the dvd player for zoom options and try to zoom out, do the same on the tv, also look for aspect ratio settings and try different settings on it untill you see everything on the screen.
You can also look for a reset and factory defaults option on the television if it has a menu.
