Question about HP LaserJet 4350 Printer
This error can have a number of causes. Sometimes, a corrupt file, or pdl string from certain applications can cause this. It could be something on the formatter. You could try to take out any added EIO cards, hard disks, or font or memory Dimms and power on to see if it clears. If so, then try to add them again one at a time to see if any cause an issue. If it does occur; make sure to clear the offending print job from the print queue before going any further. If any Dimms or cards, etc. are the cause, then replacing them should help. If you can get it to clear, going into the CONFIGURE DEVICE / RESET MENU and resetting to factory defaults may help, or in some more extreme cases an NVRAM initialization, but it resets the page counts and serial numbers and other system settings. An NVRAM INIT is done like a cold reset except when SELECT LANGUAGE appears scroll to NVRAM INIT. It could also be an issue with the original JetDirect embedded print server.

EIO is the port for the network card on the back of the machine turn off machine remove card from EIO2 and install into EIO1 turn machine on and see what happens. If this does not work then open the formatter casing and remove the memory chips (OF COURSE WHEN THE MACHINE IS OFF) after removingone turn machine on and see if it boots up.
The 49 error is normally a software issue with the machine and it has locked within the network area or the memory.
Hope this helps you and please rate me

Well I was having the same problem. I cleaned out the queue by canceling the job that it was having the problem with. Turns out the data being sent to the printer was corrupt in this case.

Print Cartridge Motor Error.
Try removing then re-installing the cartridge. If that does not work then you will need to try a different toner cartridge as the toner cartridge is "locked up". These are the most common solutions. If none of these work then you have a cartridge drive problem and will need to contact a service center.

1st thing to do is upgrade the firmware. Go to hp.com and look for the software and drivers. Drill down to the firmware and read the instructions.
