Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 Anniversary Edition

When I go to insert, insert picture from gallery, and select a collection, I only get titles and no pictures. I highlight a title, and select open. I get Microsoft Digital Image Suite Anniversary Edition Editor with the following message: The following item cannot be located: mpg6818.jpg. If you moved this item to another location, enter it here:

This is the file path that appears:
D:\Program Files\Microsoft Digital Image 2006\Shoebox\

I change the drive letter "D" To "C" and hit enter and I get the picture.

What can I do to elimate changing the drive letter and why is it going to the D drive to begin with?

You can add all your pictures to the program's library which should eliminate that problem...

To scan for pictures on your computer:
1. On Digital Image Library’s File menu, click Add Pictures to Library.
The Add Pictures to Library window opens. The folders already cataloged
in Digital Image Library are displayed.

The hard disk drive is scanned, and the folders containing pictures are
4. Clear the check box next to any folder you don’t want to add.
5. Click OK, and then click Done.

Hope this will FixYa!!!

Problem with Microsoft Digital image 2006 Windows media Player has encountered a problem and meeds to close. We are sorry for the incomvenience. Error Sig. App.Mane: wmplayer.exe Appver:

The error is a Windows Media Player error, and it looks like you are running an older unpatched version. Try to download a newer version of Windows Media Player from here:
I know MS discontinued their Digital Image Suite and encouraged people to switch over to the free Windows Live Photo Gallery:
Good luck!

Hardcopy manual for digital image 2006

I love this software. It's simple to use, but is no longer supported by Microsoft. As I recall, there never was a digital version of the manual, only the "help" files with the last version. (I searched online and could find no whiff of a downloadable manual anywhere.)

There are two books that may suit your needs. One by David Rivers and the other by Steve Schwartz. You can find used copies for sale on Prices are under $5 -$10 when you include shipping.pchpatti_0.jpgpchpatti.jpg
If you truly want the original manual, you can still purchase the software, but look for a version that ships with the printed manual, not just the software on CD. Prices are around $50.

I am unable to burn images to a CD or DVD using the Digital Image

Found out after many wasted dvd's that this program is now junk! not supported anymore, therefore throw it away if you need to burn anything. I figured buying another program was going to be cheaper than figuring this one out. I read many articles and many people were having the same problem with no results. I bought Adobe Photoshop and burned like a charm. So now my photo suite disc is going into the trash along with all the half burned dvds i tried to make with this junk program. Thanks again Microsoft. Here is another customer going to Mac when my PC goes belly up.
