Is this a Linux or Windows eeePC900? If it is Linux, read on. It sounds like a Lilo problem, caused by the Linux boot image not being where it is meant to be. Have you moved or deleted any partitions, or plugged in and disk or flash device iince it last worked? If you have plugged any storage device in, turn off, and remove them, then turn on again. If you have altered any partitions, I would boot a Live distro from an external device (CD, DVD or flash) and see about running Lilo to repair the configuration.

Motorolla h500 no steady blue light

Starting with your headset turned off, press and hold the call button for some 6 to 10 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit (it will flash some times as if it was being turned on, but don't release the button at that phase). With the light steadily lit It is in pairing mode. Now make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, the H500 should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, the indicator light will flash rapidly, and then, it will enter the stand-by mode. Otherwise, turn your headset off, and go through the whole process again.
By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Regards, Carlos

Horizontal lines across whole screen

Bad inverter, or a dirty one. Remove the power cable and battery, then take apart the screen bezel, or casing. Remove the LCD by unhooking it. Disconnect the inverter. Clean it. Reconnect it. Fixed.

Black Rectangles on 42" Vizio HDTV LCD

Your DirecTV signal is probably too low. That would produce the small black rectangles (pixilation). Also, try replacing the cable you are using to get the signal from the DirecTV receiver.

Black Box

Hi Krautner, We have a Toshiba and experienced the same problem this morning. It is very similar to your symptoms: big black box in centre-lower part of screen. It sometimes disappears momentarily when you select a feature such a "mute" for the same amount of time the screen displays that function. Once the "mute" signal disappears, the black box comes on again. I fixed the problem by turning off the close captioning function. Somehow, it had actually got switched on. It runs fine now. I suppose you have already found a fix since you posted back in May....but hopefully this helps you or someone else putting in a similar search for this fix. Cheers Geo
