Maytag Neptune front load washer model MAH3000HWW
WILL will not go into spin cycle, it does however wash and rinse, need more than a general trouble shooting.

  • mavessel Sep 11, 2009

showing my age, LOL. yes it will not complete spin cycle. it runs very slow and then shut off.Of course you know this is a computerized panel right?

  • mavessel Sep 11, 2009

I have not gotten any information, the first was a generalization, the second was a question????did I mean spin cycle of course I meant spin cycle, I initially said ring, my error.

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

Hi, at least you addressed my problem. I made an error on model # it's MAH3000AWW, Now where do I get the possible needed board, and would a layman be able to replace it?

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

How does one reset the circuit breaker? need instruction on how and what to do.

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

So what you're saying is I've got to get a repairman, which I was attempting to by pass??? Would it be wise for me to purchase the part before the repairman come and analyze the washer?

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

I was hoping I may be able to correct this issue with some detailed instructions perhaps a detailed diagram????? My whole thing for getting fixya was to fix it myself

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

yes the motor is running but rather sluggish, only for a few seconds then it shuts off. the other cycles are responding.

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

I just pasted the info you gave me and went around in circles. I do need real help here, please

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

    still requesting help

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

okay, let's go that route, maybe I can get some info on how to trouble shoot and determine what my problem really is. what do you think?

  • mavessel Sep 12, 2009

because it's computerized, I'm wondering if it is the door lock, troubleshooting is really the thing to do I believe. I had a similar problem about 6 years and something was done in the panel on top???

Well lets see if we can get you started of the right foot her. You would like to do this yourself. It is pointing to the curcuit board. But lets start smart, if you want to do it yourself you are going to need the the service manual. the link below will get you that. they have discontinued the manual so you can't buy or download it. but for the minute you can still print it from this site.. that would me my forst suggestion. Let me know if that sounds good and you want to continue..

read section 2-1 and 3-1 and let me know if you still want to do it yourself.. If you do and you are comfortable then we will go from there.

  • Randy Trent
    Randy Trent Sep 12, 2009

It looks like it might not be that bad if whe=at I am reading is right. That the only issue really is that it shuts off during the "Spin Cycle" That makes it a door problem. you may just need to replace the door lock machanism. I will give you a link on where to buy that her shortly..

    Randy Trent Sep 12, 2009

Here is the link to where you can get the part.

    http://www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Pa...

    The parts you need are

    1. Spring, latch

      Item #
      454911
      Price
      $5.60

    2. Support, lock hoop

      Item #
      454915
      Price
      $3.95

Without actually being able to physicaly see the washing machine. the service manual suggest this is the solution. The sping is worn and needs replaced.

This could be the switch not activating that cycle. Can you hear the motor turning? Does it do anything in rinse mode? If the pump was faulty, it would also cause this to happen.

HI. This unit utilizes a motor control board. This module is responsible for initiating the proper motor speed during each selected cycle. Any damage that may occur within the chip set, will cause the actual issues you are experiencing at this time.
It is possible to reset this chip set by shutting down the appropriate circuit breaker, or unplugging the unit for 5 minutes. If the reset dose not produce positive results, i recommend the replacement of the affected board, which is the Motor Control Board.

Ok. the part number for this affected part will be 22004046, and you can purchase it at the link i will provide below. I recommend to contact a local service professional for this replacement procedure, due to the degree of difficulty with this issue. The entire unit will need to be disassembled, in order to expose this damaged motor control board. It is located in close proximity of the motor itself. Click on the link below to order the Motor Control Board.

Ok. the easiest way to initiate a hard reset, will be to unplug the unit from the wall, if possible. If this is not possible, the alternative will be to shut down the appropriate circuit breaker. This breaker will be located inside your home or, garage area. The breaker switches will be inside a wall mounted box. There should be a door that will have a latch to relieve, Once the door is opened, you will see a guide on the inside part of the breaker box door. This guide will have all the breaker switches listed in numerical order. The numbers should coincide with each room and utility area in the home. each switch will represent a specific power outlet and wall light switch as well. simple shut off the appropriate switch that controls the washer units power outlet for five minutes.

Code OP means lid is open. If it really isn't, then the problem is with the switch that sense whether the lid is shut or not. Could be bad switch or bad connection.

SOURCE: my maytag neptune washer will stop working and

HI, this error code is signaling an issue with the fill actions. Your washer seems to be having problems when it try's to fill the tub with water.

First, make sure there's water getting to the washing machine. Make sure the water faucets are open all the way.Check for kinked hoses as well.

If the hoses are fine and, the faucets are fully open, this will confirm a inlet water valve malfunction. you will need to replace this failed component in this case. it has failed.

Hi I have a Maytag Neptune model MAH5500BWW Serial B4585662GA. When I turn the drum, I can still hear water inside/behind the drum. Thank you

This is normal. There is a balance ring filled with water attached to the inner drum. The balance ring is sealed and is not supposed to be empty. When you turn the inner drum by hand, you're hearing the water settling down from the now upper chambers of the balance ring.

Water is leaking from the bottom of my washer, it is maytag neptune ,front loading washer

Check the door boot (typically grey rubber bellows looking ring around the door opening that keeps the water in the tub from leaking) for cuts.

When the door lock fails, there is a part on the electronic control board that fails (resistor burns up). Both will have to be replaced.
