If you are sure the battery is not low/defective and the laser turns on the chances are the LED display is defective, since they don't sell or publish service information for the user to repair his own unit then you will have to send it in either for an exchange unit or have this one repaired, whaich will require a longer turn around time, contact Busnell about where to get the unit serviced/repaired.

Sorry for the lack of help you have been receiving.
This info is from another FixYa expert. Hope it helps:
If all the LCD display segments will not clear or E31 is displayed.....It needs programming and/or a new CPU board. Usually, leaving batteries to die (in the off season) or using heavy duty batteries can cause this.
