Question about Sony DSC-S930 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I purchased a Sony cybershot DSC- S930 and inserted the Lexar memory stick (supposedly compatible with a sony camera) and upon turning the camera on there is an error message stating there is not internal memory (as the internal memory only has room for 2 photos). I cannot seem to be able to use the memory (8Gb) and have tried to go into Setup - Format- but there are no options to format the stick, only to erase the internal memory. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,
The camera does not recognize the card because

1. Card not compatible
2. Camera cannot handle such a large capacity.
3.Card not inserted correctly.
Maybe a recent firmware update can address the 2nd limitation.

Hope it helps.

The word ACCESS appears in the LCD and the digital camera does not respond. Solution

  7. If the issue reoccurs, turn off the camera.
  8. Remove the Memory Stick media from the camera.
  9. Insert a different Memory Stick media.

Hi, just bought sony cyber-shot dsc s930 and evrytime i turn it on it says "reinsert memry stick" but nothing happens it just keeps saying the same thing. can you help

Did you format the memory stick in the camera before trying to use it? Are you able to get into the camera menu to do that? If not, try removing the stick and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the stick and then the battery...turn it on.

Have a DSC-S930 camera inserted my memory stick

Hello Mate,
you may double check how you inserted the memory stick, it may be in wrong position.
other than that, you can insert this memory stick into your computer and see if you can open it from there. and you can also format it from your computer and then test it again with your camera.
Best Regards,

what do you mean nothing happens???
the memory stick pro duo should fit right into the sony cybershot....
if your struggling to load your photos onto your computer buy a universal memory card reader!
you should try and use a memory stick in a camera that needs an sd though!
