No color on the laserJet 2600n

On the control panel (PRINTER) , Print settinGS, there must be a option to activate/desactivate print without color, only using black cartridge, you should desactivate this option and the printer will print on color.
If you couldn´t locate this option, restore the original settings on the control panel (printer) the error must be resoloved!
sorry for my english!

The colors are not right. Orange is yellow, blues are green, etc.

Check your color controls in your printers advanced printing preferences and make sure your color and ICM (Image Colour Management) controls are correctly set.
Other than that simply reinstalling/updating your drivers could do the trick.
Also if you're using third party Ink, you might want to avoid that, Epson printers dont usually printer very well...All the Best

Can't print in color

Hi there!

Problem with your print settings.

Go to Control Panel > Printers and FAxes > Right Click on your printer and click Printing Preferences

Depending on your model, the preference page would show a drop down control or simply an option that says something like :

Print in : Black & White /Grayscale
or most models would say:

COLOR: [ ]BLACK [ x] COLOR

Now, set it to colored.

Hope this gives you an idea!

Pictures come out dark with normal settings.

The solution is documented on the Epson Support site if you can find it.

In printer properties (Printing Preferences), select the ICM button instead of Color Controls (the default) in the Color Management area. This is under the Advanced settnigs, not the Basic settings. I found out that leaving Color Controls selected and chosing a Gamma of 1.5 (the lowest they allow) also lightens up the printing.

Test page data states "no" color support

If it is a WinXp operating system follow the bellow mentioned steps:
Go to Start> Control panel> Printers and other hardware or printers and faxes or directly to printer>
Check which icon has the check mark>
If it is Officejet 6100Series> Then Right click on the same and left ckick on Properties> Then in the bottom click on Printing preferences> and click on Color> Under color options> Click on PRINT IN COLOR> And down bellow click on Apply or Ok and close the window.

The same can be slected when printing from a specific document or photo>
All you need to dod is after you click on Print> Go To Printer properties> Then in the bottom click on Printing preferences> and click on Color> Under color options> Click on PRINT IN COLOR> And down bellow Ok / PRINT.

ForVista>

Go to Start> Control Panel> Then Printers or Hardware and sounds> then rest steps will be the same as WinXP

Can I set default printing to black and white for color laser printer?

Yes. Any printer's default options can be set as desired. Open the printer's properties (Start/Control Panel/Printers/right click the printer and left click Properties), and change the setting as you wish, then click OK. Those settings should be used each time you use the print command, unless you change the settings for that particular print job.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice, good OR bad.

Good luck!

Faces too pink in my ip6700D

Solution: Manually adjust color from the driver (Windows)

Manual Color Adjustment Follow the steps below to make fine adjustments to the color hue for the printed output. These settings will only make minor color adjustments. If more drastic color adjustment is necessary, use an image editing application.
  1. On the Windows desktop, click 'Start', point to 'Settings', then click 'Printers' (Windows XP: On the Start menu, click 'Printers and Faxes', Windows Vista Click / Select Start from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'.).

Note: If you are in 'Classic' view, Click 'Printers' directly from the 'Control Panel'.

  2. Windows 2000/XP/Vista: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Printing Preferences'. Windows 98/Me: Right-click the printer icon, then click 'Properties'.

  3. On the Main tab, select 'Manual' for 'Color Adjustment.'

  4. On the Manual Color Adjustment screen, adjust each color individually to achieve the desired effect.

Note: This screen may vary depending on model.
