Question about LG 42PX5D 42 in. Plasma HDTV
Red dots on your plasma can appear because of a too high voltage to the plasma panel.
This can be caused by a bad voltage settings, or bay faulty control panel, and has nothing to do with sustain board.
Try resetting settings to factory default.
This is done by pressing Mute followed by 1, 8, 2, Power in sequence to enter service mode. In service mode select RESET, so to reset to default and exit.
Do not touch anything else or the TV may have more problems afterward.
If that does not fix the problem, call a technician to verify if the panel is faulty, or to test high voltage to panel (that is not just a plain volt reading).
