Data recovery is not a simple task. If the hard drive is not recognized by the pc or as any external mass storage then it is not possible in most cases to recover the lost files.
However, under certain conditions data recovery is possible but still require premium software packages or high professional fees. If your hard drive fulfills the conditions below:
then you can use recovery tools like iolo Search and Recover and the like.
Most of the tools demand a purchase to made before data can be recovered but nearly all can tell in the trial period whether your data can be saved or not.
Search Google for data recovery software for more on them. It is not feasible to give detailed reviews for every software at this place. Please serch the recommendations section of Fixya.
You can also consider professional data recovery service.
Note: The more you tamper with your hard drive, the more it will be difficult to recover its contents.
Thank you for using fixya!
First of all, you should stop saving any new files to your Nokia N70 ( or memory card) or taking new pictures.
Then find some photo recovery software from the following websites, which are able to recover deleted or formatted photos and movies from cell phone, digital camera, memory card and SD card etc. It also recovers photos from corrupted memory card.
Digital Photo Recovery for Windows
Digital Photo Recovery for Mac OS X
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Download and install the Digital Photo Recovery Software.
Step 2: Connect your corrupted memory card to your PC or Mac.
Step 3: Scan the source drive where your lost pictures located.
Step 4: Recover the lost pictures and save them to another drive instead of the source drive.
Best regards!

Hi,
What exactly do you mean by a corrupt Hard drive, like corrupt due to File system problems, or its physical like it can't be read. and if it can be read what is the error you get...
Plus how did it start, because there we will know whether is can be fixed or not...
Cheers
