Check if the microphone is set to mute. Go into your Volume settings and then uncheck if Mute is enabled.

Hi, There three possibilities to your problem,
1- low volume or poor configurations
2- The mic is block with dirt or something
3- Faulty
so the way to solve this is make sure you locate it and make sure that the hole is clear and clean.
Check you settings to see if the mic is not in mute mode or this its not in low volume, also if you are running window make sure that you check where it says microphone boost to enhance the power.
You can as well use tool like the yahoo, skype inbuilt utility for for sound test...
Otherwise i would recommend that if all that is ok, to be returned immediately for an exchange.

Skype-microphone is faulty-others cannot hear me

The microphone may not be configured properly in Skype.
If the person cannot hear you then, either your microphonedriver not installed or not working OR the microphone is not configured inSkype.
To test your microphone then click on Start - All Programs - Accessories -Entertainment - Sound recorder. Then record your voice and then play it back.If this is OK then the microphone need to be configured in Skype.
To configure the microphone - Open Skype - Tools - Options -Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.

Hello. I have an aspire acer 5732ZG T4500 laptop. and I just made a chat several day without a jack. and one day all this chat never goes out unles i use a mic jack. when I go to the store I bought it,...

For your model I've checked and there is no onboard microphone, and there is no way you can record your voice or is able to send voice chat unless you have an external microphone, or a external webcam that provide with a microphone in order for you to record or do a voice chat. Now if you cliam that you were able to do a voice chat, and someone was able to hear you or able to record voices.... Then i would only guess that in your sound device, you probraly disabled the microphone it or lowered the microphone volume. You can check this out by going to the little sound icon on your right taskbar, double click it, and on top of the bar, there is a speaker icon, press this and a window would pop up, you would want to go into the "level" tab and see if the microphone option has been muted or lowered. If everything is enabled and working.... I don't know about your mystery since your model spec does specify that there is no onboard mircophone.

We have aspire 5920 laptop, if we are talking to others through net like skype viop the others cannot hear our voice. we are using head phone.

According to the specs for your model laptop, it appears that it does not have a built-in mic. Attach a mic to the mic port on the laptop, it will be next to the headphone port and configure Skype for your microphone settings.

Audio on lifecam

The VX3000 has a built in microphone so no, you won't need a microphone. You will need speakers connected to your PC's audio output to hear voice chat.
