Question about D-Link AirPlus DI-524 Wireless Router

2 Answers

Is there a way to daisy chain a router onto another and still be able to access both of theire configuration pages? (Billion BiPAC 7401VGPR3 ADSL Router (master) and a D-Link DI-524UP (slave))

This doesn't allow me to connect to the slaved routers config page. if i type in the slaved routers ip into IE i should be given the config pages for that router. but IE just times out.

the logic is that i already have two routers lying around. i know how to put them together, but when i do, i cannot access the DLink config pages

You can do the same, however you will have to disable DHCP on the second router and connect the first router to the lan port of the second router.

In this way you can access both the routers and use it on the same network.

Let me know if you need any further help.

To access the slave routers configuration page you will have to used the new IP address assigned to it. The default configuration IP would not work. Please let me know about the model number and the default IP address for all the routers that you would like to connect.

I don't follow the logic of connecting two routers together?
Usually you would use a single wireless router and if there wasn't enought LAN ports available on the wireless router then you would connect a LAN hub to the LAN port on the router to give you additional LAN ports on the hub.

Change the local IP address of Billion 400G

You need to login to the router page with the IP 10.0.0.2 and the on that and you can change the IP from that page
On login it will ask for username and password it is admin and password is "password" by default if you have any issue in getting user name and password you can reset the router as below

To restore the factory default configuration settings without knowing the administration password or IP address, you must use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router. 1. Press and hold the Default Reset button until the Test LED turns on (about 10 seconds). 2. Release the Default Reset button and wait for the router to reboot.
it will come back to factory settings of 192.168.1.1 and then you need to configure the router as per your internet service provider

you can check the manual at the below link

Billion Router Bipac 5102 flashing all the time - ADSL LED- I can not access 192.168.1.254 Mahmoud

Your router code should be 192.168.1.1 OR 192.168.0.1 This should get you to type in your user information and access your options for the router. Reset your router first by holding down the reset button for 10 seconds. Username and Password are both "Admin" If this does not work there could be a problem with your connections. Make sure everything is plugged in correctly and reset your modem as well. If it still doesn't work it is either a problem with your internet provider or your router hardware and you will have to contact the manufacturer. Cheers.
