Question about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone
I have a chocolate phone (lg) from verizon wireless, its brand new because my last one was broken i couldnt hear from the earpiece for some reason, anyways this new one that i just got yesturday isnt working. i turned it on and on the screen it shows VERIZON WIRELESS (with that red check mark on top of it, ya kno the logo or w.e it is) anyways it shows that and it blinks every 5-7 seconds same thing over and over. i took out the battery did the master reboot and its still the same. i cant turn it off unless i remove the battery btw if that makes a difference.
Ok, I found something that worked. I read in another post that you can reformat the phone with a certain key stroke while the phone is off. I know in this case you will probably have to take out the battery, reinsert it, then do it before turning on the phone. I also had the phone plugged into the charger. I don't know if it helped or had nothing to do with it. Just thought I'd mention it in case it comes to that. Just hold down the * button, the 3 button, and the ok button. Then turn on the phone. Make sure you're holding all three of the buttons at the same time. I held them for about 5 seconds or so. It booted up normally after that.
