My l18 screen has a large black spot on it and will not work

is there some small spot on the screen or maybe some black thing. it is due to the lcd screen liquid leaks out.so the lcd seems so blurry.

There is IMHO a shield lose or foreign matter some place in the light path

Once you have all the screws out, seperate from the bottom first and then gently pry at the top sides to break the factory seal. The screen has a thin strip of black tape along the right edge you can pull off. Lift up on the screen to reveal the attached electronic strip attached to the board. It is attached with a grey strip that is hinged, just lift up to remove the strip. Replace with the new screen and reassemble your covers.

Same thing happened to mine. After researching the cost of a replacement screen, $60.00, I decided to replace the camera with an L20.

Did you leave it in the sun . Or in a hot place ? Was it wet in any way ?

i have the same camara i drop it and the screm is brokend can someone fix it

You must change your screen for an new one!
If you can't find one send an email to Rotronica in the Netherlands they can provide one for you.

I had the same problem, but I went to Lithium batteries..I received my camera for Christmas, got the batteries day after and have not had to change them as of yet.

model zr90 has a problem in CCD try to check to Canon service center.
