Question about Microsoft Office Standard for PC

1 Answer

Msvcr80.dll I have purchased a new toy for my son for Christmas. Information must be downloaded from the pc to the toy but when I try to download it, I get an error message stating that I am missing msvcr80.dll. I downloaded this file, put it in Windows/system32 and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Msvcr80.dll is missing from computer system error

Downlaod Msvcr80.dll here:
Download the zip file, don't download the fixer recommended in this website:

Extract "Msvcr80.dll" to a location on your computer. We recommend you to unzip it to the directory of the program that is requesting "Msvcr80.dll"

If that doesn't work, you will have to extract Msvcr80.dll to your system directory. By default, this is:

C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7)

If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you should also place WDSUTIL.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
Reboot your computer.

For Instant Fix use Reginout system utility.

Hi yan rambe!

If you're missing a .dll file try uninstalling and reinstalling the product. Posting download links to dll files is considered illegal since they're copyright protected.

Hope this helped

Msvcr80.dll file

Download it from
(Click the highlighted text "Click here to go to the download of msvcr80.dll"). Remember where you are downloading it. After the download has been completed, run Yahoo IM setup again, and when prompted for this DLL file, show program the path. When it recognizes the file, the setup should finish the installation (or asks for another DLL file. You can search and download them from the link above and use the same procedure)

Many people have found that when you update to 2007 the msoxmlmf.dll file is moved from c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\office 11\msoxmlmf.dll to c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\office 12\msoxmlmf.dll. When I moved it back to office 11 location everything worked fine. BTW, I had the same error. Good luck Richard
