RE: Philips pc9227c121 I cannot find too much about this TV. It appears it is for commercial purposes (hotels etc.), this may be why there are no video inputs. A suggestion may be to run it through a VCR with RCA inputs, or possibly a switching box.RE: Philips pc9227c121 I cannot find too much about this TV. The tv should have several hdmi sockets. If Phillips DVD has hdmi use that. If Phillips is old then you will have to connect it with the yellow, red and white outputs to the corresponding on tv.
To play you will have to push input button on remote and select AV.

Have yourself a VCR that has a Scart input, or Video in, and feed the DVD in there. Connect your TV to the VCR, and tune it in to the video channel, using aerial lead and tuner.
When you flick VCR to AV1 (or similar) you should see the DVD appear on the TV Video Channel :)
Initially, the video (yellow) and audio (red & white) OUTPUTs of the cable box should go to the Video/Audio INPUTs of the RF Modulator. Thereafter, the TV should be set to Channel 3 (or whatever it is the RF Mod is using). This is done if and only if the TV has no A/V INPUTs and/or the cable box has no RF OUTPUT.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
Take a flashlight and magnifying glass and look at the S-Video connector on the back of the TV. Check to see that there aren't any pins or other debris stuck in the four holes.
One pair of holes is for the brightness (luma) signal, which gives you the black and white picture, and the other pair of holes is for the color (chroma) signal, which seems to not be functioning.
If there's nothing in the holes, then the internal connection may be flakey. Try gently wiggling the plug on the TV side and see if color returns, even briefly.
Does your TV have other inputs like component YPbPr?
