This is a tedious task but you can do it without taking anything apart the best think I've found is to go to small engine parts store and get the same size (fuel line) don't let them give you air line . Find a good long pair of tweezers and a bench vise you can bend them enough to be able to get into the fuel tank and connect the fuel line and away you go.

Will a 090 carb fit a 051av

doesn't look like they will fit. Those saws are larger so require more fuel and would mot likely flood out the 051

Changing my fuel line on my husqvarna141 chain saw and after pulling line out cant figure out where it threads back in to tank

The 141 uses a a very small bore fuel hose, it feeds through the top of the crankcase under the carb, and into the top of the fuel tank, it is not easy to do without removing the fuel tank from the crankcase. To remove the tank, start by removing the air filter held with two screws, remove the two 8mm nuts securing the filter back plate and remove, remove the two 7mm studs securing the carb, and the two cross head screws securing the carb support plate, remove the carb and throttle wire, now remove the four screws securing the starter cover ( these screw into two of the anti vib mounts ) turn the saw over and remove the 4mm allen screw securing the chain catcher at the front corner of the saw, remove the single cross head screw at the rear top corner of the saw and remove the plastic orange cap, the tank will now come away with the top handle as a unit, you can now see and fit the fuel hose.

I replaced fuel and carb lines on my Poulan 2450 chain saw. I cannot seem to find the correct path/attachment for the throttle connection. Parts diagrams do not show this. Can someone provide a diagram...

It is quite difficult to explain exactly how it fits, the cable always looks too long and has to curl around on itself back to the trigger, the picture shows quite well how it goes, the end of the cable with a dog leg in it goes to the carb, as far as i remember it goes to the upper hole in the carb spindle, just push it into the hole and turn through 90%, the other end fits into the throttle trigger.adw1_9.jpg

Where does the fuel line from tank with filter fit on walbro carb.also where does the primer line go?

The fuel line from the tank fits to the main fuel inlet on the carb ( the inlet nearest to the alloy pump cover secured by a single screw), the other conection on the carb has a pipe that conects to the shortest conection on the back of the primer ( suction side ) a pipe then goes from the longer conection on the primer ( pressure side ) back to the tank, it just pushes into the top of the tank.
So to recap the primer pulls fuel from the carb, and dumps it back into the tank.

I just rebuilt my zama carburetor on my husqvarna saw and it still doesnt run right and i have blowed out my fuel filter and checked all lines and even tried to adjist the carburetor and it still cranks...

Check there are no kinks in fuel line.
Make sure that the air filter isn't blocked.
Check the throttle cable is operating the throttle plate in the carburettor ok.
Ensure chain isn't too tight.
The carburettor should be a tight fit on the air inlet manifold.
It's possible that some of the jets could be blocked in the carburettor. You can try and clean these with compressed air but ensure you remove any seals gaskets, springs on the diaphragm pump , primer bulb etc as they can be damaged by the pressure.
You can also buy
an aerosol can of starter fluid at your local autoparts store. This is sprayed into the carburettor to clear any partial blockages.

I am trying to find a bulb for the fuel line. Mine is broken and I cant start my 12 in chain saw. I am talking about the primer bulb. Mac

Not knowing what model Mc. you have I can only recommend a primer that fits most of them and it is a Zama primer part no. A056013. You should be able to find this at your local small engine dealer. This is a "snap in" primer that has two fittings, one for the return line back to the tank and the other is a "suction" line that connects to the carburetor. Hope this helps.

Fuel line routing

A typical fuel system and a couple of suggestions follow:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3706813-2_cycle_fuel_system_repair

An example of an IPL for a "2055 Gas Chain Saw Type 7" follows (may not be your saw):
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/2055-Gas-Chain-Saw-Type-7/75.2055-Gas-Chain-Saw-Type-7.1.59.1.html

If not your saw, yours can be found here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
The dash number of your serial number is the type.
I am reasonably sure the upper most carburetor connection (it bleeds any air in the carburetor, air rises) goes to the primer. Leave the hoses long enough to swap them and try it. They can be shortened once you verify the correct routing. Good Luck. HTH

As long as the line fits tight so its not sucking air you should be ok.. try changing out the plug if its old. Clean out the air filter too.. But the line should be ok as long as its tight..
