Open and check for electrolytic capacitor leaking. Or the battery.

My washer is off balance during the spin cycle it jumps, and moves around

With the washer empty, tilt it front a few inches and drop it back down. This will re-level the legs. If it still jumps around, replace the drum snubber, inside the front of the machine. It's a rubber pad that keeps the drum from moving around too much. Snubbers dry out with age.

Tip

Lense sticking with good battery?

If you have a Kodak EasyShare V603 and have the lense sticking or not retracting all the way when you power down with a known good battery, this tip may save the day for you ...

Note I said MAY save the day, NOT "will" ... Nothing in life is certain ...

The extending/retracting lense assembly is very sensitive to dust or foreign material. If even the slightest amount of dust... pocket lint, anyone?... gets inside the camera housing in the area of the lense mechanism, the sticking can occur...

the solution is to undo the screws holding on the front half of the housing and get that shell out of the way... then run a clean q-tip around the outer rim of the lense assembly ...

filthy, isn't it? ... now repeat... once your q-tip comes up clean, blow away any residual dust. The jury is out on whether alcohol helps at all here ...

Repeat the procedure to clean the opening in the camera housing through which the lense extends as well ...

Reassemble the housing and you MIGHT be good to go ...

Of course, if you dropped the camera into the La Brea Tar Pits, don't expect a miracle, but this procedure can get rid of a surprising amount of dirt & dust that can build up inside the camera from carrying it in your pocket or purse ...

I DID say you need a known good battery, right ? oh, and it helps if it is fully charged too ...

Worked for me !

My passenger side Headlight Lense has moisture inside.

somewhere on the lense or on the bakside of it has been compromised, theres probably a small rock chip in front or crack of some sort.sometimes the seal between lense an bakside housing itself leaks.only fix for this type of complaint is to replace lense w a new or used one

How to solve a very stif focus handling

Extend lens fully.
Look into rear of lens (sitting face down on your desk - no, lens, not you).
Use a good light or flashlight - nice LED one.

Note the two sets of helicoid threads, one inside the other.

With 5-25 cc syringe and blunt needle,
1 put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol at spots all around 360 degrees of each helicoid. Dissolves and rinses out old gunked up lube. Use q-tips to absorb excess when you rotate focus to spread isopropyl.
2 When focus is moving freely, apply few drops of lube - again all around the helicoids (both).
Now the work begins - rotate many times if sticking too tight. You will begin to feel it loosen and old lube will be absorbed by q-tips you run around edges of helicoids. You may have to apply, rotate 10 times, wipe with q-tip.

What kind o lube to use ? I used "Krytox", a common vacuum pump oil with viscosity of, say, olive oil. Also, you can use silicone dissolved in alcohol. Oil choice affects torque.

Isopropyl is your friend !

Has beeb dropped the lenses inside is moving

Unless you have an optical test bench and the proper tools, you're probably better off having a trained professional check it out. Depending on the severity of the damage, you may have to replace the lens.

There is a spider running around the insider of my TV!

Well you can allways wait until she drops dead but otherwise youll have to take the front lenses off.Remove the screws along the edge a the top and sides at the rear you may also have to pull the front cover (usually plugged in) this is best done with two persons ,one to unscrew and the other to hold the lenses.once the screws are remove you may have to slide up the ***`y.you may want to clean the lenses and miror while your at it. have fun

My Casio digital camera QV-R41 lcd viewfinder does not work

Turn the dail to a different position and try again.

Does your lense open up 100%. If not , clean the outside (around) the lense and turn on and off a few times.

If you feel the lense does not retract 100% or does not open up 100%, push it or pull the lense NOT too hard a few times.

Good luck!!!!!!!!

Leaking front loader

If your washer has a rubber seal around the inside of the door and it has a little opening where the detergent comes into the washer put your hand inside the rubber piece and feel all the way around and see if you feel any holes or cracks in it and that is where it will leak from.
