Question about IBM ThinkPad T40 2373 Notebook
I have power going to the computer but it dosnt seem to be booting up the harddrive and i have no screen turning on, no internal fans making sounds and hardrive indicator flicks on the off once then computer tries to start again..PLEASE HELP
Try and start the computer with a system disk or cd if you have one. It could also be the battery for the BIOS, This is a watch type battery that sits on the mother board. Also varify that you are getting the correct voltage through the adapter with a volt meter, most are 18-19 volts dc, but it is normaly indicated on the side of the adapter. low voltage will cause a problem with booting up. Hope this helps.
