VIZIO 37 "TURNS ON - SAYS NO SIGNAL - AND THE OFF When this happens is that the TV is set to RGB mode. SOLUTION 1 - off the TV. 2 - Once off, in one side of the screen or TV monitor will find the following buttons:                                                      POWER                                                        MENU                                                    CHANNEL                                                     VOLUME                                                        INPUT 3-GOING TO KEEP PRESSED (both at once) the power button (POWER) AND input (about 30 seconds) until it comes out on the screen a box that says MAIN (MENU). IN THIS PICTURE shows:                                                         TV                                                        AV1                                                        AV2                                             COMPONENT 1                                             COMPONENT 2                                                      HDMI 1                                                      HDMI 2 3-OUT SOON, as fast as you can, go back to pressing the INPUT button to select another input mode or watch TV. 4 - IF NOT oppress quickly, the TV will turn off AGAIN. Repeats step 3 until you can select another interrupt viewing LISTED IN TABLE. (TV, AV1, AV2, COMPONENT 1 COMPONENT 2, HDMI1, HDMI 2) 4-LOGRES SELECT ONCE otherwise the TV will exit TV RGB mode and return to work as before. Try to do it, it works.

VIZIO 37" TURNS ON - SAYS NO SIGNAL - AND THE OFF

CUANDO SUCEDE ESTO ES QUE EL TELEVISOR ESTA PUESTO EN EL MODO RGB.

SOLUCION

1- APAGAR EL TELEVISOR.
2- UNA VEZ APAGADO, EN UNO DE LOS LADOS DE LA PANTALLA O MONITOR DEL TELEVISOR ENCONTRARAS LOS SIGUIENTES BOTONES:

POWER
MENU
CHANNEL
VOLUME
INPUT

3-VAS A MANTENER OPRIMIDO (LOS DOS A LA VEZ) EL BOTON DE ENCENDIDO (POWER) Y EL DE INPUT (ALREDEDOR DE 30 SEGUNDOS) HASTA QUE SALGA EN LA PANTALLA UN CUADRO QUE DICE MAIN (MENU). EN ESTE CUADRO APARECERA LO SIGUIENTE:
TV
AV1
AV2
COMPONENT 1
COMPONENT 2
HDMI 1
HDMI 2

3-TAN PRONTO SALGA, LO MAS RAPIDO QUE PUEDAS, VUELVES A OPRIMIR EL BOTON DE INPUT PARA SELECCIONAR OTRA ENTRADA O MODO DE VER EL TELEVISOR.
4- SI NO LO OPRIMES RAPIDAMENTE, EL TV SE APAGARA NUEVAMENTE. VUELVE A REPETIR EL PASO NUMERO 3, HASTA QUE PUEDAS SELECCIONAR OTRO MODO DE VER EL TELEVISOR QUE APARECE EN EL CUADRO. (TV, AV1, AV2, COMPONENT 1, COMPONENT 2, HDMI1, HDMI 2)
4-UNA VEZ SELECCIONAS OTRO MODO DE VER EL TELEVISOR, SALDRA DEL MODO RGB Y LA TV VOLVERA A FUNCIONAR COMO ANTES.

TRATA DE HACERLO, FUNCIONA.

Vizio light is on on the front of tv, but when you turn it on it says no signal and turns off. VX37L

Your TV may be in RGB mode. Immediately after turning your TV on, press the TV button on the 'input' section of the remote. Hopefully that works for you. Your TV is designed to turn itself of in RGB (monitor) mode if no signal is present.

My vizio Tv keepssaying there is no RGB signal and the power will turn off. Any idea what this is or now i could fix it? thanks!

rgb is input that usually comes from a computer. if there is an extended amount of time, the computer goes into hibernation. also most newer tvs go into hibernation themselves if there is no input.

possible simple solution is that you move the mouse or hit a letter on your keyboard to "wake up the tv or computer"

would be nice if vizio put a rgb button on the remote. having to go to input then scroll down just sorta blows.

NO RGB SIGNAL - VIZIO HDTV TO LAPTOP

I've been online looking for a solution to this problem and couldn't find a fix until today. I just got off of the phone with a Vizio Tech. He told me that some pc's have a way for the monitor to show the screen externally, and that there's usually a button, sort of like the input option on your TV but its an output button for a laptop in my case. It should look like a picture of a TV in and out of each other. Mine was located on the number four key. I had plugged in my wires and put the TV input on RGB. then on my laptop pressed the function key and number 4 key at the same time and what do you know, I had a picture on my screen. I almost gave up on my vizio but love it even more now. I hope this helps.

I can not get TV to pick signal from PC

I had a problem where my VO22L was giving me a "No RGB Signal" "The Power Will Be Turned Off" message when I had it in RGB mode (with VGA input from my PC). Anytime I left my PC on and turned off the power of this unit, I got this message. I just got off the phone with a very friendly and patient Tech Support woman at Vizio, who talked to several different techs who all came up with things that didn't help. Finally, while we were talking, she came up with the idea of going into the settings menu and doing a "System Reset" to see what happens. What do you know, it worked!

To anyone else having this problem, try this. With the PC and TV on, in RGB mode, go into the menu screen with the remote. The far right tab is "Setup". Use the arrow keys to go down to the "System Reset" option. When prompted "are you sure" select "Yes". I powered the monitor off and on, and the problem is gone. Now if it happens again, I know what to do.

While trying to change channels, my t.v. displayed ''no signal'' and then shut itself off. Now, when I turn it on, it says no signal and turns itself off after a few seconds.

Turn the television on and as soon as the screen turns on repeatily press the input button or change the input to whatever input you are using from a source device. As long as you change it to anything other than RGB.

Your television is essentially a big computer monitor with multiple inputs and a tuner. When using your computer and shutting it down the monitor will go in a power save mode. You don't need to shut off your monitor due to this power saving mode. When you power up your computer your monitor automatically turn on.

With the VIZIO and the RGB (computer) input the television will act just like a computer monitor. When you have a computer connected it will power down automatically when you shut off your computer. When you turn your computer on the VIZIO will automatically come out of standby mode. This is through RGB only.

This is normal operation for the VIZIO but can see confusing when nothing is connected to the RGB input. If you change your television input to RGB it will sense no signal on the input and will go into standby mode after about 5 - 10 seconds. If you were to send a signal to the television through RGB it would automatically kick on.

VIZIO VO42LF says no signal when connect to PC after power on/off

Could be a sensitivity problem, have you tried to switch tv modes back and forth, sometimes if you do that it will save you from restarting the computer. I had a tv about 10 years ago that had a sensitivity issue, went to see about fixing it, unfortunately, the tv brand was no longer in the country and user service parts were not available.

I pressed rgb on the remote-now i cant get out of that mode

Have you tried changing the TV to another input? Try Press "TV" at the top then press "TV" near the bottom or try pressing the "INPUT" button on the TV itself until you get to TV. RGB is just another input for the TV, just like DVD or HDMI or VCR, but it is the plug in the back for a computer monitor. Yes, if you'd like to hook up your computer to your TV you can through this plug, it looks like a (most likely blue) with 3 rows of holes/pins that you can plug another RGB cable into your computer and have the biggest computer monitor on the block! haha Although, if you have a PLASMA TV (not LCD) you can't use a computer for long (no more than 15 mins) because PLASMA TV's have a tendancy to "burn-in" very easy and it is sometimes not fixable. You'll have a ghost image of any stationary image that is on the screen for too long. That goes the same for any news channels with a "ticker tape" near the outside edge that is on the screen the whole time. If you have LCD, no worries! They're designed just for that problem to never happen. Hope this helps.

With out turning on the T.V., Push the [Input] button on the remote control. The TV should turn on and activate the input menu, just continue to push [Input] until it is set on TV (or HDMI, etc.). this should solve your problem.

42 inch LCD Vizio. "no signal"

Just hold down the input button on the right side of the tv. This is the bottom one. So,
With the tv off,
press and hold the bottom button (input)
when the tv turns on, and you see the input menu
release and press the button to put the tv into a mode that works!
Thanks
