Question about Craftsman Garden

The engine wont turn over. I can see it turn slowly(as fast as a snail) and then stop. I put a new Kohler starter on it and it still turns to slow to start. What is wrong with it.

If you have a multimetter mesure the value from the ground to positiv polarity of the starter-value must by lower 30 ohm.if there is good please check mechanical coil starter contacts and the batery. try to recharge the battery .if doesn,t work propertly the last solutions it,s to change the schaft bettw. starter and sure to the moment when you press bettw. It wont turn over even with a new battery. What could it be. It slowly started tuning over slow before failing completely

Sounds to me as if your starter is dead. Do you hear a click every time you turn the key? If so, then it is your starter. You can try hitting it with a hammer or something hard and try to turn. Chances are it will turn over but sounds as if the brushes are dead.

Engine turns over slowly

Try measuring battery voltage at the starter motor. Should not drop below 12V when cranking.

If does pull plugs and see if you can hand crank. If more is really tight try some very light oil in cylinders for a couple days and see if anything loosens up.

88 rx7 run but wont start

The FC3S is notorious for this and fueling issues. Check all ground points, battery cables and connections. Check the draw from the starter. If the voltage drops below 10V there is not enough power for the ignition, causing weak spark. It really needs to spin over 200rpm cranking. Pop starting does not necessarily mean the compression is good. You need to make sure it cranks fast enough to get a proper compression test with rotary tester, New NGK plugs, new NGK plug wires.

Car turns over slowly, wont start

Put a volt meter across the battery terminals. You need at least 12v there in order to get the starter turning. If voltage is less, have it charged and load tested then try again. If it still turns too slow, put the volt meter back on and check voltage while turning. If it drops below 9.5 volts while cranking the starter is likely at fault and needs replacement.
If you have a security system make sure you know how to re-arm it before removing the battery. Check the charging system after you get it started. and make sure belt is not slipping as well.

Wont start

Is starter engaging but is turning the engine slowly then not turning engine? (that's what I'm reading) If so, check both connections at the block and starter. If reading proper voltage 12v or better, check voltage across battery when in "start" if it drops below 9.5v the starter has failed. (you can turn the engine by hand...correct?)
