Right i have a emachines 2240 an some 1 has took of ma emachines so cant do a system recovery iv tried f11 on start up it s on windows xp programme plz help

not sure what you're looking-for.

if you are looking to do a Factory Restore of you emachine, then you can order Restore disks here :

http://www.restoredisks.com/findrestoredisk.aspx

Please note however, that you MUST have a valid Product ID stick still on your tower or you will not be able to 'authenticate' your windows.

Its asking for an install disc i dont got and also i know the info is all there cause just befor that i was logged in but the viruse i took out took the boot info or some thing with it and i cant get on it...

reboot the machine and keep pressing F11 repeatedly until the Windows 7 system restore process start.
Choose a full restore, and it'll be right back to factory (like it was when it was brand new)

This should work as long as you never erased the recovery partition on the hard disk!

How can i perform a factory restore on my emachine w3619 without my start up disk..my computer will not load my sims 3 game and it used to be able to i tried everything (including system restore) to fix it

ask emachines for duplicate dvds of your startup disks.
your os is Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic
any copy of that would work, but you wouldn't have the cyberlink or other software

before doing that
you may first try checking for viruses or startup programs
and then reinstalling any game software

maybe your sims is broken. verify that it works on another machine

My eMachines T3882 with Windows XP just reboots over and over

Sounds like a sick hard drive. When it starts to reboot, press F8 and choose Windows Diagnostic Test. It will show a hard drive failure if one exists. If it finds a hard drive error, the hard drive is junk and needs replacing. Once replaced, you can run your restore/recovery disk to install Windows back to the condition it was in when you bought it.

How do i do a factory system restore on an emachine?

Hi there.
Emachines usually gives you restore disk to restore it to factory setting (out-of-the box). see if you can find that disk if not you can contact Emachines and get it from them. it should not be too expensive just shipping could be part of expense. i would say about $25. i would call emachines and get it from them

From Emachines' website.
Available 5 am to 12 midnight,
(PST) 7 days a week
United States 1-408-273-0888*
Canada 1-604-637-1419

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Procedure for total pc restore on emachines T5085

Did you receive a restore CD along with your eMachines computer when you purchased it? If you have such a disk, that is the easiest way to do a full system restore. If you do not have this disk, you can obtain one via emachines support. This is the most recommended method for a full restore. If your machine boots up fine, you can check to see if you have a restore point in the Windows System restore. If you ever had to turn the system restore off (for virus removal or something), you will not be able to to a complete restore this way.

Good luck

P.S. If this information was helpful, please rate this solution. Thanks!
