The tub is clogged with hair

Few plumbing issues such as Dripping faucets. Running toilets. Leaky valves. Clogged bathtubs can be solved by our own trying few things.
1)Firstly lookout for what is causing blockage such as soap or hair inside the pipeline blocking water just pull it out from pipes.
2)Secondly use a plunger(Tool used by plumber to clear clog) pour some water in bathtub to cover the plunger block the overflow of water with rag.Place the plunger over drain pull up & down 5 to 6 times.
3)Lastly if still the clog is not cleared try out with snake a long flexible steel cable wound on a handle In a sink you just feed the snake down the drain, but on a bathtub you need to feed the snake down through the overflow plate opening. Start by feeding about 3 feet of the snake into the opening, turning it as you push it forward. You will feel some resistance as you work the snake through the trap under the drain, and the turning helps to move the head through the trap. The snake should either break up the clog by pushing its way through it, or your turning will hook the end of the snake onto the clog and you can pull it out.

After trying with above if still there is plumbing issue call sewer line repair services for help.

Slow Draining Sinks

If your sink drains are chronically slow and you live in an older house, the problem may be an accumulation of sludge in the lines. No amount of plunging and chemicals is going to fix this. What's needed is to climb up onto the roof of your house with a metal snake (preferably one with a business end looking a bit like a ballpeen hammer) and ram that snake down each of the drain lines, entering through the vent stacks, with a fair amount of force. It may require 50 or 100 motions for each stack. A licensed plumber will charge you about US$250 or, you can venture it yourself. You should also snake out any drain clean-outs you can find at ground level.Note: Climbing onto your roof can be very dangerous, better to get someone else to do it, - preferably someone with good experience. - ED

Shower in basement is backed up. Wondering if it's because a floor drain is covered up.

sounds more like the drain line is clogged between the shower and the main stack, and shares venting and drain with your kitchen sink. Have a plumber run a drain snake down from your kitchen drain (after the 'P' trap ) to clear the line. A covered over floor drain should have no effect on the back-up.

We bought a house 3 months ago and have been noticing a sewer gas smell after being here for a month. Our house has been completely remodeled and plumbing redone. The smell is coming from the bathtub...

I would suspect inadequate venting causing the traps to empty, if the toilet is plumbed
near the tub and the vent stack was not used then it would cause the water to be sucked out of the trap during flush.
If the trap for the sink was inserted too far it can block off venting in the vertical
run of pipe. (I once saw an entire rental property with this issue).
If the tub needs snaked it can also cause this problem as part of the venting
may be tied to the tub. Hope this helps.

Water has filled the toiled bowl, wash basin and bath. And it's not emptying

Your drain line is clogged. need to find the clean out on your drain lines and snake it out. If tou don't have a clean out , you have to go through the vent stack on the roof.

Overflow draining to the sink

it's supposed to drain out the same drain pipe your sink uses. If it is overflowing into your sink, then your drain pipe is clogged. Your sink probably overflows when your disposal runs too, right? Unclog your pipe and you're good to go.

May have a plumbing vent clog and want to know how to know for sure if I do and how to fix it

in most instances there will be one or more bends in vent pipes. The chances of a clog are small. You can run any plumbers snake or even an electricians snake through the vent pipe. the easiest access is usually from the roof.

Drain Problems on American Standard A/C and Heat pump

You have a plastic condensate pan and you could have developed a crack in it. But most likely, there is still something that is clogging the drain. You may need to run a snake through it instead of using air. If you ran a snake through then it's probably a crack. Sometimes the crack can be at the outlet where something might have hit the pipe. Also, if the unit has a "draw through" coil, then there needs to be a p-trap installed on the unit to keep water from being drawn back into the unit while it is running. If it is a "blow through" coil and a p-trap is installed then remove it. The p-trap can restrict the flow of water leaving the unit and the least bit of debris can cause the unit to overflow. Draw through means the blower motor is pulling air over the coils and sits over top of the coil. Blow through means that the blower is pushing air into the coils and sits down below the coil. Hope this helps.

Kenmore Washer/Dryer Does Not Drain. Please Help!

Check out your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean(ref manual). There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Some connect to sink, fine. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

If the above fails, check to see if your pump is blocked. Pl rate if helped.
