Camera is Canon EOS Digital Rebel 300D.
    Camera suddenly stopped recording images.
    All images are black.
We tried different settings, batteries, lenses,
    CF cards, still same problem.
It happened suddenly, immediately following taking successful images.
    thx!

I don't know your problem. It is not explained, or the words were cut off. Please restate your exact camera, and problems.

Did you check your ISO setting? Maybe you accidentally forgot to change it back?

Take the lens off, set the camera to manual and put in 'Bulb' mode. Check to see if the mirror flips out the way and the shutter blind opens to reveal the digital sensor. If either of those two are not working they will result in no data recorded, hence the blank picture.

Take it to a service agent to fix it if this is the case.

I am sorry to say that it is not getting any younger but neither am I. Take it to the shop and let them have a quick look at it, may not be all bad news.

I would buy a multiple card reader or install one in your desktop computer and just download straight from the card instead of camera. This usually works faster anyway. Rich

CAnnon Powershot A630 LCD screen will not light up when trying to take a pic. I can, however view old pics that I've already taken.

First press the DISP or DISPLAY button to see if that corrects the problem. If not, a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).
To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

My Canon PowerShot SD880 IS has a black display screen. I cannot take pics now with the black screen, but the display DOES work for pics taken before the screen went black. Please help!

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. I found one posting elsewhere that said that this was a "common" problem. That person's camera was under warranty. Mine isn't, but it's less than 2 years old.

Canon 350D can only take picture it does not take video. On screen of course you can play the photos you have taken. But that is all.

My EOS 300d blank images

That problem is normally associated with having a too high shutter speed when using flash. If it happens in any mode, with or without flash you may have a shutter blind issue.

Test the camera at various shutter speeds and compare the results. If this black area is consistant across different shutter speeds, send it in for repair. It is most likely the shutter curtain not making a pass across the sensor fast enough, still obscuring the sensor when a photo was taken.
