Question about HP Officejet J4680 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Same as the guy above.

The strange thing is that I've had this problem on and off for some time. For me it started soon after I bought new cartridges for the printer after the originals ran out. Then it said problem with the black ink cartridge, no description just "cartridge problem." I took it out, looked at it, put it back. Then it worked fine. Every time it gave me that error i did the same thing. Took out ink cartridge, put it back. But now it's doing it with the color cartridge and nothing is getting it to print. The odd thing is that as soon as i closed the door, it immediately said again "cartridge problem: refer to device document to troubleshoot," without it even checking the cartridges. As if it knew immediately that the cartridges were having a problem. Makes no sense.

This usually happens if you just replace your inkjet cartridge with a refill.

You must replace it with original inkjet cartridge.

The black ink on my Brother DCP-130C won't print and it's a brand new ink cartridge. I thought it was a defected cartridge so I bought another one, same thing. The other 3 colours print ok though....

I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.

I have a Lexmark X4650 wireless printer that for 1 year has been working perfectly after each cartridge (blank and white Lexmark 36 or Colour Lexmark 37) I come to change the colour cartridge this time...

If you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges and you've already tried rebooting your printer and reseating the color cartridge in the ink cartridge carrier, then it could be a faulty color cartridge. Your cartridge may need to be replaced from the retail store where you bought it from. If it's beyond the return period, in that case, you'll need to contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

As soon as i took the printer out of the box and plugged it in, the lcd screen reads printer error 5100. Please help?

Is it brand new??

Pls follow below steps...

First, unplug the power from the printer and all connections (including usb to the PC as well).

Next, press and hold the Start button while plugging the power back into the printer.

While still holding the Start button, press the Resume button twice (which then allows for Removal of Ink Cartridges(if you are past the limit otherwise leave them in).

Now repeat 1st and then repeat 2nd above.

Press the Resume button 4 times (note that the light will only blink the first two times of the four times that you press the button)

The error should now have cleared so that you can use the printer.

HTC S710 - Battery issue

Hi guys

if u buy new battery for around 35$... its creepy thing that it again sucks within
6 month
so follow these procedure that i really got good response

1)Buy the new battery from any other dealers (u can use Nokia (std) or LG, Micromax, Onida... etc)
having same specifications as 1050mAh Lion-POLYMER 3.7v and having equivalent Size that fit into the case.

2)Now open ur dead battery, remove the sticker slowly, u wil get the polythene bag carrying the charge sheets
.
3)Please note that dont not disturb this polythene bag... (cutting, drilling or pinning), else it starts burning.

4)U will see a circuit above the polyhthene bag having two poles (+ve n -ve) just cut the poles of bag from the circuit and keep the bag aside

5)Now do the same procedure with new batt and remove the polythene bag.. and soilder with
the dead battery circuit. (check the +ve n -ve by multimeter)

5)Re-assemble with insulation tape and recondition it perfectly.
now check poles bofore starting.

Note : i got good result from this and i m getting 18-19hrs standby and 11-15hrs usage. Do it on ur own risk...and i m not responsable for ny harm)

Print Head error

Greetings Morbica,

As a member here I drop in now and then. I saw your post and I thought I would review.

Since the time of shipment has passed, your only option is to replace the print head again. Before I help with that, please check the following. Did you make sure the print head was snapped into place and secure. Also, did you make sure the ink carts were snapped into place. These actions can make a difference.

Once you have completed these actions and things are still not working for you, let me know. You can write to me at ronbaird@kodak.com or leave a message here.

Talk to you soon,

Ron Baird - the friendly Kodak guy

Hp7310 printer remove and check cartridge on right error

I know this might not sound like a good thing to do, but it fixed it for me. I licked my finger and rubbed it on the circuit board on the cartrige, then put it back in the printer. It seems to be working fine.
