Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I was lying in bed and touched the remote by accident. The screen went blank and it says no signal. I have tried the settings and source buttons to no avail. I have tried to notify Olevia, as well as going to target, Kmart, sears and office depot. No one has a tech support Number, nor do they sell the TVs any more.

I bought an RCA smart tv and it was working fine until I picked up the RCA remote to change channels and now I get "no signal" on my TV screen. How do I fix this?

What was going on before you picked up the remote? Did the remote work OK to initially turn on the TV? Where you able to change channels prior to this issue? If yes, then maybe you accidently changed the source mode of the TV via the remote?

The source mode button chooses what signal you want to use for getting a signal transmitted to your TV (E.g., antenna, HDMI, etc.) If the source button is clicked to something that is not supported (E.g., Line1, or Line2, or Line3, or a particular source like the antenna option is not set-up properly to receive a signal, then you will receive a, "no signal" message".

This may be a simple fix. Do you still have the original cable that came with it for the video OUT? Plug this back into your playstation and TV while leaving the HDMI cable connected.
check now both HDMI channels and AV/Composite options on your source selection this should give you the display,
Now what we need to do is setup your HDMI output again.
From the menu bar,
  • Go to settings
  • Display Settings
  • Video output settings
  • choose HDMI
if you have the choice to choose OK choose it. If your screen goes blank go through your HDMI channels again and if the Playstation screen is there then select OK,
Then you can remove the composite cable again

Help! Pressed a button now only a blue screen!

Hmmm, sounds like you may have damaged the remote or maybe the batteries have run down where you where laying on it,try a fresh set of batteries in the remote or failing that try adjusting the tv manually by getting a chair, standing on it and pressing the buttons on the tv,also try another feed from another source just to make sure it is not the sattelite at fault.

"No signal" on our new Vizio screen

Try manually using the source button on the TV.  Touch the button once and a screen will com up on the TV.  Touch the source button again it will scroll down the pop-up on the screen.  Wait a few seconds each time you scroll down the pop-up.  You should get a signal when it gets to the right setting.

Screen goes blank momentarily

cover up the infrared remote sensor on the projector. The heat of these colours or something might be messinf with the infrared remote sensor. TRy this and see what happens. It may just be bad contacts. Some projectors just cant handle stuff like this. Some were meant for presentations and presentations only. BUt seriously try covering the remote sensor to see what happens. If it is an older projector the infrared signal detector might be sensitive to bright light or stuff like that.
