i need to see the lamp housing unit with connectors for the mitshubishi wd-52825. i replaced the lamp and have the same problem reported by most (no picture, then lamp light turns red). it appears as though the lamp is not plugging into anything and just sitting in the housing unit. shouldn't the lamp actually plug into something?

yes, if you look at the back of the lamp unit you will see a plug, if you pushed a little too hard when trying to plug it back in you may have pushed the corresponding plug out. Take the back off and look and find the case that the lamp sets in and see if the connector has been pushed out.
