HP Laserjet M1522nf Multi page scanning problem

Symptom: Black or Blank image while copying or scanning.
Part suspect rating: Scan head..70%
Scan head cable...25%
Formatter...5%
For tech guys only: Remove ADF unit from the printer, remove both side covers of adf, remove & replace scan head, check...
Replace scan head

First print a test page out from a computer. If this has lines then its either a dirty drum in the toner cartridge or a bad fuser. IF the test print is fine then you just need to clean the glass over the scanner.

Please try to use scanner glass and see the resultSecondly try to scaan to PDF for multiple files.If the issue still persists clean the rollers on the ADF and if not working, replace the ADF

This is a problem with either the formatter board or the dc controller, try doing an nv ram ( turn off the printer and hold down the right arrow and the cancel button, turn the printer back on and continue holding until you see permanent storage init). If this doesn't work call hp tech support 1800 334 5144 and ask for a case number. This printer has a service note which will cover the formatter for 2 years.

install full software, download from www.hp.com

Call hp tech support, you need to uninstalla dn reinstall the software. You may have to replace a dll file.

You can try to reduce the resolution, but my own experience scanning to pdf files leads me to believe that your machine is functioning ok. I have 1.5 GB RAM and a dual-core processor that is much faster than the P3, and when I run several documents through, it takes a awhile to scan them

Try rerunning the installation disc, you will find and option that reads "install more software, install this a restart your computer

If your printer is connected in the Network and you are able to print fine than there is no communication Error.
In htan case if you are not able to scan then you need to upgrade the firmware of the printer and install it and i m sure your printer wiill scan scanning on the Network.

However before you start sending firmware to the printer you need to make sure that printer driver is installed on the PC.
