Do you have a program comparable to microsoft "picture it" program for vista? I had this program when I had windows xp. Now I have vista and want a program Like "Picture It" I loved it because it had editing photos, plus cards to create, illusions, a large clip gallery, alot of neat things to create anything. Good photo editing and creating. Suz from Philly

Hi Suz,
Here is one on Ebay that is compatible for Vista.

The item number is: 320413107911

Just go to EBay and put the item number in the Ebay search bar. I have Picture It also and I know what you mean. I love it and use it all the time. Best wishes.

My Vista laptop will install MS Picture It Publishing Platinum 2002 but stops working when I try to run the program. I was told any PC software newer than 2000 will work on Vista.

Its not just the same that everything will work in vista. Do this procedure to work with the software. Go to the executable file (.exe ) of MS Picture Publishing and then go to its properties , u can find Compatibility Tab , in that select the Program to run in Windows XP Mode. So when u set the compatibility mode you can run the program in Windows Vista.

How do I use Microsoft Works 2000 on Windows Vista? I bought a new computer and, of course, it would have Vista on it. I hate Vista, but that's beside the point. I especially need the program, Picture It...

Start Vista's "Program Compatibility Wizard".
Say that you want to install a Windows XP program.
Choose the 'setup.exe' on the CD-ROM drive, and install the software.

Have widows xp do i need windows vista

Hi,

Windows Xp and Vista are 2 different Operating system. If we compare both, XP is still far better than Vista. But, if we talk about security, Vista is more secure than XP.

So, it depends on user to user.

I would still prefer XP.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Vista RAM usage ?

The minimum recommended ram for Vista is 1 GB, generally accepted practical minimum is 2 GB. A 1 GB system will be kinda laggy. Maximum RAM for 32 bit Vista is 4 GB.

Vista Home Premium is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Media Center Edition (Has Media Center, cann't be put on a DOMAIN type network)

Vista Business is roughly equivalent to Windows XP Professional (Can Join a Domain, Doesn't have Media Center)

Vista Ultimate has all available freatures of Vista, you can do any windows function with Ultimate

Installed on Vista

Picture It 2002 is designed to be used with Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Microsoft Windows 2000, or Microsoft Windows XP, therefore I'd suggest to run your Picture It 2002 using Compatinity Mode --> Right click on the program icon--> properties-->Compatibility--> select one of the versions above
