Here is a general overview of what you need to do.
1. Get a new cord
2. Remove the old cord from t-handle.
3. Remove cover of starter pully & old cord( pay attention to which way it is wound or mark w/ an arrow).
4. Tie new cord onto pully & wind.
5. Now you need to pre-load the re-winder spring. ( If you need help with this write me a comment & I can help).
6. Holding the rewound spring, thread the cord through the cover and t-handle and tie.
7. reattach the cover.
Hope this helps,
Andy

I have a toro personal pace gts self propelled. only model number i foind was 2h802. pull cord broke, would like to know how to replace it

You can buy the whole part...cord,handle,recoil spring all in one piece and remove the old install the new...or you can just buy a legth of pull cord and swap everything over.
First take off the top 4 phillip screws and remove the plastic cover....don't forget to pull off the oil fill cap, next drill out the center of the three pop rivets that hold the recoil spring in place, use a drill bit a little smaller than the rivet, next tap the rivet out using a punch and a hammer, next install the pull chord by first rewindind the coil spring then locking it oin place so it wont twist back and install the new line(pull cord)...next install it on the top of the motor and install 3 new 1/4" aluminumn pop rivets 3/8" long with a pop rivet gun all can be purchased atb Ace Hardware...reinstall the reverse of dismantle proceedure and happy mowing...don't forget to attach the black plastic/rubber pull cord handle.
Happy Mowing!!

How do you remove clutch out of DC14 ro replace belt from motor to clutch

first remove bottom plate then remove the roller yea I know its a pain the front nozzle will come off if you pop it up with a screwdriver pull the suction hose it will come off. the knob is the worst there are two points were it clips on firmly pry the inside to pop it loose then the outside and yes I know you think its going to break I have done a couple hundred not one has broken on me. Remove the back U shaped duct. There are three screws in the clutch cover #15 torx screwdriver the back screw is accessed threw a hole in the housing. the clutch will come out with a firm tug. Remove the 2 screws #10 torx and pop the cover there is 2 parts that might come out a clutch pad and a metal ring / gear. If i were you i would replace both belts and yes I know Dyson says Its not possible to replace but you can just turn the clutch around remove the C clip and every thing will fall out a spring 2 bearings a washer 3 bb type bearings and a few rings. Its not that hard just reassable the same way. once you do one you can do 100 just take your time and let me know if you have trouble

Good fix, mrfixit-jerr! Also, if you remove the rear cover (4 screws) you can stabilize the crankshaft by inserting a screwdriver between the lobe of the shaft and the counterweight.

2002 FORD Explorer J that keeps the door shut broke

Are you sure the latch broke? sometime they can freeze up and hang unlatched. The part that latches the door to the striker is "C" shaped. If it is flipped into the latched position with the door open, it won't work. If this is the case, use a screwdriver and pry the latch to the open position while pulling the handle. But if it is broken, yes it can be replaced. Usually torx or allen screws in the end of the door. Pull the door panel off and pop the rods off before you unbolt it though!

Lawnmower Starting Pull Cord Replaement

There will be a piece of casing that holds the starter mechanism in. Usually held by 4 screws (probably torx screws unless it's an old machine).
Undo these screws and you will find the cord carrier inside.
Observe how the starter dogs are located, and how it all goes together.
You may be able to remove & replace the cord without taking the carrier off the casing, but it is probably easier if you do.

Then you simply remove the old cord, thread a new cord through the hole & tie it. Reassemble the carrier onto the casing. Thread the cord out of the casing & through the handle, tie that end.
Then wind the cord around the cord carrier until there is a slight tension on the spring.
Screw the casing back on the mower and you're away.

The pull cord on my Ryobi 30cc trimmer broke. Is this true, that there is no way to access case to replace the pull cord? This has been my difficulty! There seems to be no way to reach clutch springs,...

If you have the same kind of clutch as my cs30 week wacker, then there is a screw at the end of the shaft that the clutch sits on. The screw is down inside and requires a star shaped screw driver to turn. When I tried to turn it, the engine kept turning. I had to open the back part of the engine in order to put a screw driver in it to stop it from turning.
