The kneading paddle won't turn and something internally seems to

The paddle in the bucket freezes up, soon after it starts. Now I heard a loud screeching and it was completely frozed or wouldn't turn and the bottom gear was spinning like in a fast free spin. Something inside has broken. There was bits of black rubber that had been 'chewed' loose from the bucket gear on the ourtside center shaft. Is this repairable? I love the bread baker and have not had problems until it started stalling
