On Kenmore dryers, the lint filter will be located on the top panel or, right inside the door in front of the dryer drum..

Was there something I missed? I answered the question based on the vague question you provided. You gave no BRAND NAME (other than the Generic Kenmore Category you posted this under) and provided no MODEL NUMBER. I provided the answer on my years of experience with Kenmore Dryers. If this wasn't correct, or if the appliance you were referring to wasn't a dryer, you could have followed up and asked for further assistance. All dryers are not contructed the same and more effort needs to be put into the questions you ask if you want a desired solution. Furthermore, you could have followed up with a clarification request, rather than leaving an adverse rating.

did you leave your lent filter out a couple of times? Sock or lent wad may be caught up in the fan that forces air through the dryer.

The unit is seeing a restriction in air flow disconnect the exhaust at base of machine turn to air dry or fluff you should get good air movement coming out of the exhaust I will assume the machine worked when new if flow is weak then there is lint in the blower air passage from the machine if good you will know the difference the the restriction is in the exhaust exiting the house on one occasion i did encounter a bad control if everything passes the test an dryer is operating correctly and you still have a light leave it control is not cheap for an annoying light

My Bosch wtl6304 condenser tumble dryer keeps indicating empty filter light and bleeps rapid. It warns me twice like this then trips the thermostat out. I have cleaned filter, washed the condenser out and...

never really heard of a condenser model dryer before however it does seem like internally its full of lent inside of the dryer housing itself around the heating elements if you have a large air compressor open it all up and spray air into everything in the dryer where you see lent build up this will force any lent out of the dryer and it should hopefully run as the day you first got it ;P found this to be an issue even with an LG TROMM dryer i opened up and wasnt drying very well

I HAVE A KENMORE 400 SERIES DRYER. THE LENT NO LONGER STICKS TO THE FILTER. WHEN I PULL THE FILTER OUT TO CLEAN IT, THE LENT SLIDES OFF THE FILTER CONTINUALLY CLOGGING THE VENT IN THE BACK OF THE DRYER....

Try cleaning the filter to remove any residue from dryer sheets (a dish detergent solution should cut the softener build-up). Be as gentle as possible. An old toothbrush is useful for this.

Also, a weak exhaust flow may be the culprit. Check the dryer vent line all the way outside for excess lint.

Your fan impeller (inside the dryer) may be loaded with lint, too.

Not drying completly seems not alot of lent on lent filter

Your rear connecting exhaust vent must be removed and cleaned out.
If it is the flexible vent material it must be un-kinked or mashed when reattached.
Run a 50 minute timed dry cycle with the vent completely off.
If the load dries OK,the connecting vent is the problem.

There is an element where the lent screen is. It is the dry sensor. Check to see if it has lent on it.

Lint filter won't go back into place.

Take a flashlight and look down into the hole where the filter goes. It can become clogged with lent and makes it hard to put the filter back in. Also, they use felt as a seal and this could have come loose and blocking the tracks that the lent filter slides into. Also look at the filter and check if it is warped. If it is damaged in any way, you will have to replace it.

Dryer lent sign and wont run

Dryer sheets deposit a film on filters. Take it out and hold it under running water and you'll see water won't go through. So every 3 months or so, take the filter out and clean with an old toothbrush to remove this waxy deposit. This problem can also cause dryer fires if filter is not cleaned periodically. Hope this helps!
