Reboot to access Bios, Select F7 to reset all to default. There is a separate option in Bios to unlock scroll lock.

I don't recommend this antivirus, even a good free a/v is better. Try avast, you can download it from download.com it is very good and I recommend to my customers as free option. Now, if you can afford $40 at year your best choice is norton antivirus. Before you install any antivirus you MUST uninstall any previously antivirus from your machine from control panel.

If you tilt it to the light, do you see a faint image?

Can you connect the laptop to a external monitor and toggle the FN + F5 key to adjust monitor settings to output to the 2nd screen.

try to clean the memory the bronse pin use dry clothes or pencil eraser then put it back, if encounter same error maybe got problem with flex cable come from motherboard go to lcd panel

Hard drive is shot. replace and then re install operating system

whats happening is that the cpu is overheating and shutting down the computer due to your fan not spinning, if you wish to test this remove the bottom panel and remove the fan and its cooling tubes should all be one part (quite easy 3 or 4 bolts) and blow on the cpu or put a pedistal fan facing it or any other form of cooling that wont damage it, and try to start it if it boots for a while it is the fan and you will need to replace it, i had this exact problem yesterday

try booting without the battery installed.

both HDs must be either sata or ide and each one must not have a password lock.
