Pool Heater wont light

Can a Teledyne laars Mark V pool heater with a propane valve run on Natural gas? Can I just change an orfice or something?

NO NO NO the heater is design to work on propane or natural gas only

How do you determine if a pool heater runs on Natural gas or propane

It should say on the tag inside the cabinet, or on the gas valve. Another indicator is that natural gas typically is fed through a 3/4" galvanized pipe, LP is often run through a 1/2" copper pipe. Be sure before trying to fire it up.

not adviseable from manufacturer but if you do you need new orfices and a gas valve and regulator for propane

Can an inground pool heater be used for an above ground pool

if converted to propane it should be marked and orfices should have been changed jandy frowns on this now days yes this will work on your pool make sure you have adequate gas pressure and note if rewiring see schematic to make sure correct

Want to convert lp gas to natural gas laarslite llg250

not adviseable years ago they would sell you different orfices and change the gas valve setting but too much liability involved LP runs hotter so they had smaller orfices unsafe

Can and how converting a 125,000 BTU Laars natural gas heater to propane?

not advisable by manufacturer but you have to change the gas valve and orfices nad mark the inside cover so repair man knows it was converted

make sure it is a propane heater not a natural gas heater might have to turn down gas pressure if not a propane it should have a P in model if not need propane model unsafe

Can propane heater be made to use natural gas?

Yes, there are kits out for that but you will want to get a professional to do the conversion....he will have the proper tools and equipment to set it up so that it works safely for you...

Do you replace the thermopile or check the milivolts?
Check the Pressure gas
You need replace all of them terminals and check again the milivolts at the gas valve
