Ford E-600 and/or Aerostar
manufactured in 1990's and used in MANY years vehicles.
They purchased a lot of radios and then used them until the design changed.

There are extra connectors on every Ford unit in that year, they are for a separate 6 disk changer and on some a stand alone high power amplifier, just plug in the connectors you have in your truck it should work. below find a link to what the main connector does and the wire colors of each, if u know the year and model Ford the used radio came from I can supply the wiring diagram for that as well.

our parts dept says these are engineering numbers and can't match them to any usable information on year of deck but that should not hinder the install the radio of all late models interchange.

Ford radio code freely

I should be able to help you with your security code and yes for free but I will need the serial number off the radio so you are going to have to pull it out to get it. The serial nimber for Ford radio's usually begin with the letter "M" with six numbers after it. When you get the serial number you can reply/comment here or feel free to email me directly at I'll be happy to run the serial number through my decode software I use for my business.....

Trying to determine the cause of intermittent signal from microphone on a vx 4600 radio

Yes, short or lack of a good ground. It could also be the cord attached to the mic. The mic itself should provide the needed feedback to the radio that a mic is plugged in. Do you have anything connected to the accessory jack in the back of the radio? That can cause the same issue.

Hi Geof

Your radio code number should read: 5796.

I trust this will do the job.

I have no other code for your model.

I need to know the radio code for my ford escort 1994.

take your radio out and it should have a couple of numbers on the back.
The serial number and manufacturer number.
There should also be the original code for the radio which was set into the radio itself when it left the manufacturers.
