Try this procedure to turn on System Restore:

First, as the system boots, press F8 repeatedly. Select Safe Mode. Log in as Administrator (with no password).

Then,

1. Click Start.
2. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
3. Click the System Restore tab.
4. Uncheck "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives."
5. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Go into System Restore and follow the procedure.

If System Restore does not fix your system, you'll need to reinstall Windows.

Hope this helps.

You have a trojan horse. System restore will not work because this virus is memory resident and will reload itself. And now it has disable system restore and probably any security software you have. What you will need to is first disable windows restore. This will erase all save restore points. They are no good because they will just re-install the virus if you use them. Then re-boot the computer and as it is re-starting press F5 continously until a menu comes up for windows. Then start windows in safe mode with networking. When windows starts update your virus software and after it has been updated run a full scan. If the software does not work because the virus has corrupted it then goto a website like www.trendmicro.com and run their online scanning tool. The virus will be detected and removed. If further actions are required trend will advise you. Now re-boot the computer and re-activate windows restore after the virus has been removed. good luck.

Try (if you can still access the computer), to download a copy of DRWEB cure it. Run this in safe mode first to eliminate any viruses. Then run again setting the scanpath to C:/
After this, try to reboot in safe mode and run a disk check. My guess is that your files are not really corrupted, but a virus is reporting them as being so

I need removal instructions or software to remove: Trojan.Win32/Agent

Try to download and install antivirus software. Then scan your computer using this software. If it is strong enough, will remove all viruses. I use Microsoft security essentials and it works fine.

Can not remove any programs from system in control panel, when I try the system responds back with setup.exe has encountered a problem and will now be closing

Hi,

I,d suggest A Virus-Malware et,c.
Run an antivirus software, if it lets you.
If you have also suffered with various pop-ups about security-Alerts et,c.
Then you,ve picked up A Virus-Trojan Horse-Malware et,c.
Run a scan, remove-heal infection et,c.
Failing this, re-install windows over itself, or Repair to replace any deleted/corrupt/missing Operating System Files.

Trend Micro Interent Secuirty PRO v.2 is guarding me too much

Your computer has a virus and has disabled Trend Micro from working correctly. This virus you have is very hard to remove manually. I run this program on all of my customers computers to rid of the virus. It cost $30.00 but will save you hundreds in computer repair.

http://www.enigmasoftware.com/

This is the only spyware remover that will rid what you have. You can download the free trial but it will only let you see if you have the virus/spyware and will not let you remove until you pay. It's worth it, takes 5 minutes to rid computer of viruses!

Your Trend Micro will work properly after you get rid of virus.

The other program that wants you to purchase is a fake....do not enetr your info in the page.

I just turned off my firewall protection with CA security center (virus software) and my scanner came back to life. I've had nothing but problems with CA so it's back to Norton for me!
