Most of the time the connector matches the coil color or the terminals are different sizes. If you bought an aftermarket valve just hook up and try the water dispenser. No water? Swap the terminals and try again. No Water? The valve is either defective (unlikely) or you have defective switch in the dispenser.

The water dispenser will not shut off right away when the glass is removed.

HI, i would check the temperature in the unit to make sure it is not to low. this will cause the lines to freeze over. If the lines are not frozen, i would advise to move on to the water inlet valve.

Water dispenser not working


HI, first you will need to check the water line. make sure it isn't frozen. if the lines are ok, you will need to inspect the water inlet valve assembly. this is a dual assembly and, one side may be able to operate while the other may be faulty.

Inspect the filter screen where the supply line connects. Remove any debris or deposits that may have built up using a toothbrush or warm running water. If you cannot clear the clog, it will be necessary to replace the valve (the filter is not removable on most inlet valves).

NOTE( Make sure to test only the affected side of the valve terminals(dispenser side). If the dispenser side is faulty, replace the entire valve.
