Dropping it broke something inside so try finding an independent repairer who will give a quote for repair if possible then decide if worth it

I dropped my Nikon D60 and now it does not power on I would like to know why???

There are several possible reasons. One is indeed the battery. If the camera powers on with a different battery pack then that would point rather conclusively at the battery.
Another possibility is that the drop damaged or broke the battery contacts inside the camera. Another is that the drop damaged or broke something else inside the camera.
First, try another battery pack. If you don't have one, go to a Nikon dealer and ask to try one. If the camera powers on with that, then buy a new battery and dispose of the old one. If the camera doesn't power on, then you'll have to have the camera serviced.

Dropped nikon coolpix s220 in water took out battery and memory card immediatly is there anything i can do or is it broke

Don't try to turn it on. After drying out the card and battery compartment as best you can, bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for one week. Then, try to turn it on with your fingers crossed. I'm assuming the water was clear and not saltwater. You still may have a problem with water spots on the inside lens elements if any water got inside them.

Did you find someone that fix it?. I dropped mine today and there was a small plastic piece that helps to close the door, it broke, now the door won't close.

My camera broke when I dropped in the water. what do I do now?

Hi, you can send it into sony to see if it can be repaired. Your only other option is replacement. Water is the worst thing for a digital camera or just about any electronic device.

You might try cleaning the battery compartment of the camera to make sure that the contacts are not corroded.

remove the battery for 15 min and see it that does it if not you might have jared a board loose. or broke loose a solder joint. It can be fixed but with out proper diagnosis I can not be positive of what is broke.

Faint LCD Screen

i`ve heard about this, but in the other 2 situations the cameras were dropped on water, the problem is that the, lcd connector is not making the proper contact with the main electreonic board, maybe your camera was dropped or something hit it, you just have to open it, and check the lcd connector and adjust it.
