Question about General Electric A735 Digital Camera
With new batteries installed, taking six out door pics, the screen says the batteries are either exausted or almost gone.
Check the camera's firmware. There are instructions for updating the firmware on GE's website. Some of the earlier models had issues where the camera would report that new batteries were at a 1/3 charge. Using NIMH or Lithium batteries should also help.

The problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera. Remove the batteries and wipe the inside contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sand paper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, wipe the ends of the batteries, and replace them in the camera. This cleaning process works about 90% of the time, and I hope that it cures your problem.
