Wow 15 years! You've gotten your money's worth. Unless it's a specific type of printer i.e blueprints schematic etc. Splurge and replace it. It's a shame in my opinion that the technology has gotten so inexpensive and we have become so throw away. The ink is what you pay for now. You can almost buy a new printer with ink when you're done. Sorry to carry on, just blowing off steam.
When printing from your pc after selecting print a box will appear with several options including printer preferences. Select this and you will be able to select best photo and the type of paper being used.
It is a fixing film rotation error. Typically the fixing film will need to be replaced. On occasion the film will get destroyed by another problem in the fixing assembly... the cleaning roller or pressure roller could be damaged which would cause a rotation error. At a minimum you will probabyl need a fixing film, at a maximum you will need fix film, clean roller, and pressure roller. The 2200 is a fantastic system - it is worth repairing.
if all blink but the power, its a cutter position sensor if all blink at high speed except power, its a fatal error if paper blinks and then the inks blink, alternately, then its a maintenance error, and the pads need replacing as printer needs to be reset.
- System Preferences - Print & Fax - Select Epson Stylus Photo 2200 - Open Print Queue - In the top right corner of the Queue window click the Utility button - Epson Printer Utility will open where you can check the levels and run cleanings and nozzle checks, etc.
Buy a new/refurbished printer from Epson.com. They are cheap, come with a 1 year exchange warranty and do great prints. Prices for All In Ones start at $36USD, the ink costs more. I check Epson's voltage and I only found 115V AC, so you must use a transformer. I would also get a CISS and Waste Ink Container at the following: http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/ Saves tons of money and never change or buy another cartridge.
