Restore the software and re-Sync it using iTunes and if that doesn't fix it, it may have been damaged in the fall.

Ipod froze

A white screen on an iPod Touch is the sign of a generic error, meaning you won't get a specific error message. Usually when this happens the white screen won't change and the iPod is frozen on that screen. Apple Support outlines a specific series of steps to take to deal with this problem, from turning the iPod Touch off to completely reinstalling the operating system if necessary.

What the White Screen Means The white screen is a sign that a software error has occurred in the iPod Touch. Unless you received an error message first, it's usually something near the root level of the iPod's operating system that caused the iPod to cease functioning normally. Rather than shut off completely, it goes to this white screen to let you know there's been an error. Unfortunately you usually lose unsaved information when this occurs. b> Resetting b> Try turning the iPod Touch off, then on again. This is the simplest way to reset your iPod Touch. If it remains stuck on the white screen, force a reset by holding down the Sleep button (top right corner) for about 10 seconds. The screen will go dark, then the Apple logo will appear. If it turns off and doesn't turn on again, the battery may be too low. b> Restore b> If a manual reset doesn't work and the screen remains stuck on a white screen, you'll need to restore the iPod to reinstall its operating system. Plug your iPod, via its charger cable, into your computer. Open iTunes and click on your iPod, then the "Restore" button on the main screen. b> Problematic Apps b> If you consistently receive a white screen while using a particular app, the app may be faulty or installed incorrectly. Try re-syncing the app to your iPod Touch and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, you may need to delete the app to avoid the white screen problem.

How do I know when the iPod Touch Is Dead

Any model of iPod Touch includes major upgrades to its predecessor, with little change in physical design. At the time of publication, the iTouch has reached the fourth generation. All models have a button on the side, with a home button at the bottom. Touch screens are similar in size and functionality. Therefore, the symptoms of a dead iPod Touch are the same regardless of which model

1. Keep the round "Home" button near the bottom of the iPod. If an application is frozen on the screen, this power to connect and return to the home screen. If you have an iPod Touch 4 or higher, the multi-tasking does not automatically close the app. Instead double tap "Home" button and all recently used applications are listed. Eliminate the problem through a finger on the app "X" appears in the corner.

2. Reset the iPod by holding down the "Home" and "Power" to disabled. The power button is located on top of the iPod Touch. Do not let go of the buttons to your white Apple logo. This will close the applications that were active and memory. This can be used when the iPod screen is black and can not be activated.

3. Let the iPod Touch is in a bowl of rice if you suspect water damage. The rice helps to absorb excess water and the problem can determine in a matter of days. Try not to connect the device until it is fully dehydrated. If you've tried everything without success, it is likely that the iPod is dead.
My ipod touch 4th generations says ipod disabled connect to itunes, but screen is locked

Like all electronic devices, iPods sometimes freeze and become unresponsive. Sometimes iPods lock up when they're dropped on the ground or come in contact with water, but less destructive accidents may also cause them to stop working. All versions of the iPod have a way to reset their hardware should they stop playing music or refuse to turn off.

Check the "Hold" switch on the top case of your iPod to be sure it isn't activated. An iPod will appear frozen and unresponsive if this feature is activated. A lock symbol will appear on your iPod's screen if it is in Hold mode. Switch the "Hold" button on and off once. Place one finger on the "Menu" button and another on the center button. Press both buttons at the same time and hold them for up to 8 seconds. Release the "Menu" and center buttons once the Apple logo appears on your iPod's screen. Try releasing the buttons and pressing and holding them a second time if the logo does not appear, as it can sometimes take several tries to reset a severely frozen iPod. Press and hold the top button and the center "Home" button on a frozen and unresponsive iPod touch to reset it. Hold the buttons for at least 10 seconds and wait for the Apple logo to appear on the screen, then release the buttons. Connect your iPod to its powerblock or a computer if it is still frozen. Wait 5 minutes and then try to reset it. Sometimes an iPod can appear frozen when its battery runs out and just needs a few minutes of power to start working again. Hope this helps.

How to fix a white screen on the ipod touch

It's best to back up your iPod weekly. You may be best going for the complete restore. Any Apps you have already purchased are recognised by Apple so you will not have to purchase the Apps again. This may be the only way. Good Luck :-)
