Black stripe keeps appearing on the underside of anything I print

It's from the waste ink coming up from the bottom and getting on the rubber exit rollers. You need a shop to open up, clean up the ink spill and install a mylar shield so this won't happen again. In my shop it's about a $100.00 repair.

Black stripe down back of page, replaced all ink tanks but still have problem - is it the printhead?

Not the printhead, it is waste ink coming up under the exit rollers. You need the printer cleaned and a mylar shield installed under the printer to keep it from happening again. In our shop it would be just a labor charge of $69.00 to repair.

When printing, a black stripe is printed on the back side of the printed pages (about 1/4'' wide, running from top to bottom). The ink strip bleeds through to obscure printed side. Any suggestions?

You need to have the exit rollers cleaned at a shop, and a mylar strip added to keep that from happening again. It's the ink from the cleaning station backing up thru the exit rollers.

How do you install a mylar strip in the Canon Mp830 to prevent waste ink from being forced up through the exit rollers?

The print engine has to be removed and the mylar strip goes on the underside of the printer. To get there, the scanner is removed, then the top cover, then the print engine, after unplugging all the cables on the circuit board and trying to remember where they go to put them back.

Leaking Ink Cartridge

You need a shop to clean the extra ink that's coming up on the rollers and install a mylar strip to prevent that in the future. It's the waste ink being forced up thru the exit rollers and getting on the prints.

Solid black horizontal line on the back of printed paper

It means that the ink is coming back up from the ink absorbers, you need to have the absorbers replaced and a mylar strip added that Canon is aware of, to keep this from happening again.

Toner is oozeing out. Changed toners, and also did a "Bottom Plate Cleaning". Did not ooze while cleaning, but did shortly thereafter. Any suggestions?

You need a good cleaning, a new ink absorber and Canon now has a mylar strip that needs to be installed under the printer so this won't happen again. Best done in the shop..

When I print there there is a blck strak on the backside of printed sheet. How do I get rid of that?

The streak on the back is from ink coming up on your exit rollers. You need to have the machine taken apart, ink cleaned off the rollers, and a mylar shield put in to stop the ink from coming up on the rollers. Canon makes an absorber kit that includes the mylar.

MP 830 copier; just put in new PGBK cartridge; now leaving black streak down back of paper. Why? Help!

ink is coming up from below where it shouldn't and coating the exit rollers. It will need a good cleaning and a mylar shield to prevent ink coming up in the future. An $80.00 repair in our shop.
