I install window 7 ultimate and remove home basic, now no wireless

You do not give any details about either you rcomputer or its motherboard, so I cannot direct you to a specific web page.

Upgrading from Win 7 HB to Ultimate may have corrupted your Wireless LAN Adapter.

Windows 7 has a very comprehensive built-in driver database, but some drivers might still be missing, so you can go to the relevant computer or motherboard manufacturer's website and download and re-install the Wireless LAN Adapter Drivers and reinstall them.

Check Start>Computer>System Properties>Device Manager

If Network Adapters has a yellow exclamation or question mark next to it, then the driver might be missing, corrupt or in conflict with another or a previous version of the driver.

Right click on the Wireless Adapter, then follow the Update Driver option, to install the new driver you've just downloaded.

For safety and future ease of reference, since some manfacturers do not supply driver discs, download a full driver set and save these on an external device like a memory stick or an external hadrd drive.

Hope this helps.

We have two computers and we are trying to set up a network so both computers can use internet, the host computer has windows vista and coble modem the other computer has windows xp and is about 275'...

You are going to need two things for this to work.
First, you need a wireless router, these usually run about $50-$60.
Then after you get the router, you need a wireless usb adapter, so that the xp computer can receive the signal from the router.

Connect the lan cable from the cable modem that is currently attached to the vista computer to the router, then connect a lan cable from the router to the vista computer.

The xp computer is easier.
After you have the router hooked up, just plug the usb adapter into the xp computer, install any software that comes with it, and after it install the drivers it will be able to connect to your router, and have wireless internet.

Make sure that you know the name of your router, that way you are connecting to the right one.

I hope this helps you out, and have a good day.

I need a driver for a wireless LAN USB Adapter. (AT-WCL460 Wireless LAN USB Adapter)

This product is not even listed under the legacy and discontinued section on the Allied Telsis website. As far as I can tell its was brought to market in 2004, so I'm doubtful that many copies of the driver will be around.

Usb wifi adaptors are very cheep these days, maybe its time to get a new one.

On the laptop look for a slide switch that has wireless lan ON or Off. it may have been pushed to the off position. Turn it on and reboot the computer. Most laptops have the switch on the front where the lights are for the power and hard drive activity.
