Re: DVD stuck in panasonic DVD recorder

I just had the same problem today. Put a dvd in and then it would not open. I found a couple of answers and did not work. I am at a business so I figured we would just replace it. Opened it up
and removed 8 screws and 2 plugs. Put a small screwdriver under the round metal piece on the top and lifted it up carefully. Used a par of needle nose pliers to pull the dvd out (carefully). Put it back
together and it is now working.

I saw answers from the hard drive is bad to it is not something that can be fixed.

DVD stuck in my Panasonic DMR-E30

Hi Rock.

I had the same problem like this on my machine. The best way to fix it is to turn the machine off completely and hold on the eject button then turn the power on. You want the first thing the player does is to eject the disk without trying to read it first.

I hope it works let me know if it doesn't and i'll try and recreate the problem on my player and see what i can do to get the disk out.

The last resort is to manually take the disk out but lets cross that bridge if my suggestion above doesn't work.

I hadnt used my machine in a while. I went to transfer from a VHS to DVD Loaded both - no problem After finishing the transfer the I couldnt get the DVD to eject Help please

Did you follow directions on how to transfer VHS to DVD ? When the dvd is finished copying it MUST!! finalize the copy. If you attempt to eject DVD while in FINALIZING it gets stuck. Try and unplug the power for about 1/2 hour. plug in and eject. p.s. read the manual....the machine is complicated!!

Panasonic dvd recorder model dmr-e55eb/ebl. played dvd,no problem - ejected dvd - green/blue colouring appeared on TV which disappeared when dvd recorder switched off. since then unable to play dvds. ...

This is a problem with either the logic or the power supply. Without seeing the machine and taking measurements inside, I can't state for sure the exact problem. These are decent machines. I would suggest that you bring it to an authorized Panasonic service center for a repair estimate. Post the results here and we'll suggest the next steps.

Try resetting the unit. Push and hold the on/off button for 10+ seconds. --or-- Look for a reset button behind the drop down door, and gently depress it with a pen point for a couple of seconds. If this does not work, try calling Panasonic.
