Feedback. Check the wires, might have a bad connection. Wiggle them around and see if the buzz sound stops or changes. If that happens, its usually that wire. Good Luck.

Probably there is a dry joint on the motherboard. What i mean by that... The Jack output piece of hardware might be a bit loose on the motherboard and that creates the problem you are experiencing. The best way to solve this issue, is to take it to an IT Technician who will open it up, re-solder the Jack or replace it. It should not cost you anything above 10 dollars

I have the same problem. But after a short time it stops even in battery mode (i.e. unplugged). Did you find a solution in the meantime?

Most likely an Electrolytic capacitor. If it doesn't go up or down with the volume control, it will be the big one(s) in the power supply.

My Marshall MG50 DFX Has an awful buzzing sound that comes out of it after startup.

I would check C22 and C24 the main smoothing capacitors. They can fall out at worst or just have bad solder at best.

I love my speakers, but when iTunes stops playing music, they make a horrible scratchy crackling noise....any suggestions?

is your itune also connected for charging when you connected to your speaker? it could be the possible causes during itune finish playing the internal charging noise from switching supply adaptor come into the audio line get into your speaker, so you may hear the noise. If this is the problem, you may try to use differentiate line in isolator. mostly people use in the car to isolate engine alternator noise. you can find in car accessories shop.

Subwoofer Emits a Buzzing Tone

The 2200 uF capacitor in the power supply has gone bad and the humming is a 60 Hz from the rectification of AC to 18 vDC.  Either get a new power supply or take apart the power supply and replace the bad cap.

Buzzing noise

Of course it will stop buzzing when you mute the speakers. From the limited description, it could be anything from a power supply to loose wires in the system between the speaker leads and the motherboard. Best bet is to take it in to a technician and get a pro's answer. If he wants to charge more than what it's worth to you, get a new one.
