Question about NetGear WGT624 Wireless Router
I reformatted my laptop a few days ago and now when i try to connect to my router it says aquiring network address but wont connect..been told i need to reset my wireless card ( broadcom ) but not exactly sure how to do it ..
Often if you right click on the wirless icon down near where the time is it should have a yellow mark on it. Then chose repair that often helps to sort out the problem. Let me know how you go.

can u see the wireless network name, when you search for wireless networks?
Does your wifi have any security settings [WEP/WPA] if so have u entered it correctly when u joined the network?
Have u installed the correct drivers for the wireless? some time incorrect drives will not allow the machine to connect to the wifi network. So double check that, and do a reinstall if necessary.
Report back if you can,
Hope it helps

you must need to put in more than the ppoe connection type, there is the vpi =0, vci =38, then input your isp's username and password to get a connection.
All this must be done via the RJ45 cable and making sure that the pc's lan card is set to obtain an ip address automatically.
To get into the routers settings, type into your web browser either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.100, as i'm not sure that actuall routers address, sometims it's on the underneath or refer to the manual.
