Question about Yamaha RX-V2090 Receiver
My 2090 will power up for a sec., then shuts down. I took the cover off and checked the fuses, 3 that I can find and they are all good. The small board that the switched and non switched plugs are on has a small transformer that looks like it got hot enough to boil the varnish a bit. Could this be my problem?
It sounds like the amplifier protection circuit is kicking in. This usually happens due to a fault in one or both channels. Check that your speaker wires are not shorting out - try removing them and switching on.
